Ryan KZfaq is a weird place and I heard you speaking about the producers who crap on about 'squarespace' and 'virtual vpn's' and whatever else they flog in a vlog. But I'm from a earlier era of this site when Google was much friendlier to 'core' producers and the ad 'jam' was think and plentiful. But something went bust around 2014, sure a new CEO started then but from then on KZfaq the site seemed to shift the ad money somewhere else, it was like a magician doing sleight of hand as you couldn't see how it was done. It seemed all of a sudden everything that could go wrong with income on the side did go wrong yet this was against the Alphabet company (Google) increasing revenue to all time record highs. To me it's sad to see really good channels having to 'flog' stuff to stay afloat because I certainly remember much happier days on this site and when it's like that it completely removes the stress of producing something special for KZfaq. I often wonder will the good old days ever return. Sadly all I see is a constant drilling down of less ad money as time goes on. Inflation is hitting everything apart from google ad's, their still cheap as chips.

I love your videos Ryan and I've watched almost all of them. The Kodiak looks look an amazing aircraft to fly, I fly it on MSFS but I'm sure real life in PNG it would be amazing! You're videos inspired me to fly again in Australia with a CPL and it took me a lot of courage to start flying again after 15 years so thank you. I've learned so much from your videos and I urge you to keep them coming, you're a great teacher and we appreciate you sharing your experiences. Take care mate and thanks! :)

Ya know, the plane itself is a cargo vehicle of rather limited performance - it's not an F-22, shall we say. But the details, the display...from my POV as a viewer, it's like a spaceship. Super cool 🙂

Great video, Ryan! I have a question about the 140kt restriction on changing the inlet position. Do the rods bend because of the movement at a higher airspeed, or because holding it at the higher airspeed overwhelms them? Weird detail, I know, but... ;-)

What happens to the engine with massive rain ingestion? I always enjoy your videos. Thanks. Early in this video, you talked about bypass, and that you came off bypass since you weren't thinking the rain would be too heavy. Can you elaborate on effects on the engine with heavy rain?

We haven't seen anything back happen in heavy rain with the engine. We put the inlet into bypass, so most of the water doesn't go into the engine

MBP,,,,,GELLO RYAN, you have the ability,to close the engine air intake damper,in serious rain,,many years ago, there was a TBM700,2 couples & a dog, they left TRB,TETERBORO,NJ-HILTON HEAD ,NC,well they ran into serious ICING,just past MORRISTOWN ,NJ,even commercial aircraft, complained about the icing, well OIC,did NOT close his baffle,,& engine, started problems,,but now could not really climb

Hello Ryan! Thanks for sharing. I’m curious and I do have a question. At 21:44 you are basically on final. If you lost the engine you can make the runway? What could be the perfect balance between flying final at a gliding altitude and kind of power on? I always try to glide to landing spot. Thanks for your advice
