They have interns write the laws, they don't bother to read past the summary, if at all, it's all Good Intentions + Virtue Signalling + Not Reading What They're Signing and then when the laws start having problems it's "welp that's your problem not ours."

Yes thats called a tuner, But you have to remove the dpf, which is illegal. Not only illegal but voids any warranty on the truck, and many dealerships will not touch a deleted And tuned truck. Perhaps its different in Canada but in the states the Epa has really cracked down on the custum tunes. Personally I don’t understand the big deal adding of def fluid. I drive a 2013 6.7 f550. It has 230k, 9k engine hours and have had zero dpf emissions issues. It gets about 8mpg idles a lot running the pto, and I still get 4-5k on a tank def

@@connorvelthuis2221 I didn't even think about the lift pump, I thought it was gravity fed, with the DEF tank above the SCR. So, I guess it's pressure fed, which makes sense. It would help atomize the fluid into a fine mist entering the reducer.

@@martinlcummims8637 Plenty of tradesmen make more than the average college graduate without having to spend a cent on higher education. School doesn't guarantee a higher paycheck, the only thing it guarantees is a huge expense.

I am no real truck driver, dont know a whole lot about the industry. But sometimes I drive for the company I work for, non CDL. They rent them Ryder Sprinter vans. Occasionally this exact thing happens, it seems like it goes into Limp mode for no reason. I think you just showed me what the heck was happening with the van haha. There was always 100 lights showing on the dash pretty much at all times in those pieces of crap so I didnt notice anything about DEF. All I had to do was turn the engine off and start it back up and id be able to go a few more miles, then turn it off and start it again and keep on goin.
