For me, the seafood izakayas are the best eating in Japan. Best for price, quality, uniqueness of food and ambiance. The never seem to stuffy, they're always open late, and I'm always finding something new and delicious whenever I go. The first thing I do whenever I go to Japan, is hit up a seafood izakaya.

Fruits and vegetables sounds so boring but they are all in a perfect shape in japan. EspeciallyI grapes and strawaberries are like from a animated picture book! I always starving for karaage and yakisoba with mochi and pickled ginger as well as the japanese spaghetti napolitan and hamburg steak. And also all japanese currys and all types of tempura I love it. And I love japanese sweet potatoe and yuzu and all matcha and anko dessert. I love all harajuku sweets and the jagabee Brand. I also love all zen vegan cuisine which is rare to find in tokyo but it is a good balance between expensive and cheap stuff which dont mean that it was often cheap. The only thing that was a little bit disappointing was the convinience store sandwiches and some of the vending machine foods.
