► What Historical Figures Might Look Like If They Lived Today Vol.2
► Hello everyone and welcome back to Mystery Scoop. An artist uses AI tools to create a modern version of historical figures.
Have you ever wondered what historical figures might look like if they lived today? Well, a digital artist named Hidreley Diao, from Brazil, had a similar question and he used modern AI tools to figure it out. He created a realistic depiction of some of history's most iconic figures, capturing their main facial characteristics, while keeping in mind that if they lived in this day and age, modern lifestyle would have created a slightly twisted version of them. Let's have a look at a few amazing examples of his work, bringing historical figures to life, with a little AI animation thrown in the mix.
Please check the video to see historical figures AI recreated as modern people today. Let us know which AI reconstructed face you liked most!

Fun fact: Mozart probably didn’t look like that. Ironically, this portrait by Barbara Krafft is the most famous, but when it was painted, Mozart was dead for thirty years, and she never met him during his lifetime. None of Mozart's portraits are the "same". But we know from his father Leopold Mozart, that the "Bologna Mozart" portrait certainly looked like him. Mozart’s father wrote about it: "It has little value as a piece of art, but as to the issue of resemblance, I can assure you that it is perfect". PS: Little detail, Vivaldi was red head PPS: Thanks for your appreciation guys :)

Watching these I feel something strange, it's as if each and every one of them could be just a random person on a random street crossing paths with you. Such great figures of history and yet so strangely normal looking. It makes me wonder just what kind of adventures and achievements every other person on the street has had. Because without knowing it you could be crossing paths with someone that might leave a huge mark on this world.

Historians and other scribes would disagree with you. Suetonius wrote that he was “exceptionally handsome and attractive at every stage of his life, though careless of his personal appearance.” “His expression was always so mild and serene, whether silent or in conversation, that a Gallic chieftain, who had used the pretext of seeking an audience to approach him, as he was crossing the Alps, once confessed to his countrymen that his heart had been so softened on seeing Augustus’ face that he had abandoned his original intent to push him over the cliff. His eyes, which he liked people to think possessed divine power, were clear and bright, and it gave him great delight if whoever he gazed at keenly looked down, as if dazzled by the radiant sun.” There is more but you get it

@@justbreathe_ but I would be carefull with believing this exactly in every detail. Roman historians used to describe the appereance of the different emperors in a mannor very depending on their general judgement of their character. for example are "bad" Emperors (just meaning "these who the majority of the senate didn't like in the end") often depicted as ugly and repelling (for example Caligula). and Augustus' appearance/ Good lookings - he was more liked by the most senatores then most later emperors - was therefore maybe exaggerated. difficult to tell. Surely he wasnt ugly, maybe good looking. I just want to say we cant tell this exactly.

Nefertiti looked beautiful as a modern woman! Napoleon actually looked friendly and approachable. And Jesus looked like I always assumed He would - Middle-Eastern with a very gentle face (not like a blond surfer dude who's a bit stern!) And Vivaldi, Chopin and Mozart - only three of a list of my favorite classical composers, were so good looking. Mozart looked the type of cheerful guy you'd be glad to have as a neighbor. I'll bet with today's modern antibiotics, if Chopin lived today he would not be so sad and he would have lived a long time. (Could you imagine what even more ethereal music he would have composed had he lived to a ripe old age?) Not enough time to say how impressed I am with all the modern makeovers!

Sorry for your hopes but Jesus looks like the saints of catholic curch describes Him. Since he is not only an historical figure, or maybe some colud say even not a real one, we can assume his looks only by the testimony of the greatest saints that actually saw him in person. And he doesn't looks like it at all. Have a look at the painting of the "Divine mercy". Saint Faustina Kowalska was asked directly by Jesus to have a paint of Him, this is how Jesus looks like.

I find it weird seeing a lot people complain about how a lot of the models are inaccurate but keep in mind, they said this is what they would look like in the modern era and that if they lived today, it WILL create a twisted version of them. There are videos on this channel that show how they looked like back then and those are far more accurate.

@@jillwanlin9558True, because you never know what inspires an artist's creativity😊. If I remember correctly, a comparison was made to Da Vinci's pencil drawing of himself to the Mona Lisa painting. I think they put the drawing to the painting and discovered how the drawing fits perfectly to the Mona Lisa. So, perhaps Mona Lisa's mysterious smile is really a joke on us as if Da Vinci is thrilled to know that he had us fooled. Personally, I would like this same test done again by other experts to confirm or deny😀.

Nefertiti is believed to have been a Mittani princess from northern Syria. Her name means the beautiful one has come, inferring she was not Egyptian by birth but has married into Egyptian royalty. We can see by her busts that she was caucasoid. Ancient dynastic Egypt was built by tribe(s) from the Fertile Crescent of the Middle & Near East, so the connection to an area in what is now modern day Syria would make sense.

There was a really primitive form of face compositing that was tried by overlaying photographs back in the Victorian era. They took a huge population of prison photographs and tried to create the face of the average criminal. As it turns out when you average faces together they turn out just sort of generally symmetrical and normal and kind of handsome. This has been born out in other sorts of projects that try to create average faces by combining together a lot of real faces from a particular city or country, some of the weird quirks and blemishes and asymmetries that make real people look less attractive disappear in the averages. So it's not just a biased data set, the very act of compositing tends to make faces look more attractive, and it says a lot about how we perceive beauty.

Genealogy studies show that most modern italians(those of european stock - not immigrants) have similar genetics to ancient romans and seeing as how many italians have light skin like other europeans it isn't a stretch to see the AI depict them that way. @frankhansman2111
@frankhansman2111 2 жыл бұрын
It was known to the Hebrews that both ancient Greeks and Romans were "fair". Keep in mind they did not have the modern worldview when it came to racial distiction. Where in the modern "Dark" and "Black" are interchangeable in their worldview "Dark" was middle ground or "Brown" in modern understanding. The Hebrews referred tothemselves as "Dark", Egyptians as "Black" and Greeks as "fair". This is evidence that the olive-color of southern europeans is the result of them constantly breeding with middle easterners and Africans and not a genetic cultural distinction. The elite ruling class of Greeks and Romans would not have mixed with non-Greek and non-Roman individuals as frequently as the lower classes so it is actually not a stretch to presume they were "white" by today's standards. Fun fact: the Hebrew word for "fair" is "Japheth". Their word for "Dark" is "Shem" (Shem is also their word for "name") and their word for "Black" was "Ham". Japheth, Shem, and Ham are the names of the three sons of Noah who went into the ark with their father in the Hebrew flood narrative.
