The crazy thing is that the narcissists do these bizarre and hurtful things to us which make us mad and wishing we could hurt them back the way they hurt us… which then makes us wonder if we are the narcissists. OMG, the mind games get to be too much.

Not only did he tell me I'm crazy, but I seriously felt like I WAS going crazy! So the plan worked.

Heard all of it, broke my heart but I survived he didn't get my soul. The system didn't get my soul either. My children suffered even after decades later my children are figuring things out and are asking serious questions that are being answered through their own discovery. Anybody else notice that when a narc is really angry, his/her memory is completely wack? Narc accused me of something I didn't do, then threatened to expose me to the church we both attended. When he calmed down, he said I was lying. I can think about it now with no anger or hatred attached. That's healing, baby! 😊

They do this when they are all happy rainbows with you, never mind when you have finally put your foot down. Don't be intimidated by the threats, it's already happening. If there is one of these creatures among people you are in contact with you will find disapproving looks from stranger's who previously didn't give a damn if you were alive or dead, silent treatment from acquaintances and suddenly you find it difficult to make friends in the area but if you travel a little this all stops. They are isolating you and probably dumping counter rumours in your lap about your close friends and family. It doesn't take a genius to figure out who the culprit is, they're not subtle. You have to take measures long before the threats start, preferably as soon as the penny drops. For starter's, why do you need the approval of strangers and vague acquaintances? They can go to hell. You will have some close friends/family and people this individual has already p*ssed off, stick to them like glue and explain the situation to these people no matter what the narc says or does and start separating your life from theirs.

Yes …..The Narc did tell me what he was going to do to me…..He did it….There was nothing I could do….I live in a small regional town, population 300, He told multiple abominable lies, which spread throughout a 50 kilometre radius of employment opportunities…….A few people informed me of what he said…..Wow quite shocking is an understatement……I remained rock solid, however it did hurt a lot….

My ex used to start twitching and getting agitated if I used the mirror in the car to check my hair or makeup. That's when I heard the line "You're lucky to have a guy like me." -_- I understand now he was devaluing me, and wanted to crush my confidence.

Struggling tonight. My sister, the champion of smear campaigns, manipulates my narcissist mother for solely financial gain. Falsehoods and rejection are painful. Communication is blocked so I may never learn what I did wrong or have the opportunity to discuss or apologize.... other family members are rejected as well, allowing my sister full control of all my mother's assets. I am not allowed to even give my mother a Mother's Day or birthday card. Trying to move past this, but the challenge is overwhelming, sigh ..... I received an email from the narcissist stating "Keep it up, you'll see what happens". It did, and I saved that email as a foreboding reminder of the damage and injuries I sustained shortly thereafter. Thank you, Andrew, for putting a name to the damage that the narcissist created.

Andrew, what you went through is not all lost. You went on to educate those who are stuck in a narcissistic relationship. Looking back, I wondered how I survived 8 years of hell. Everyday was drama. He tells the kids, "your mother needs the pill, she is crazy". The cruel words that came out of his mouth is so heartbreaking. While pregnant with my 3rd child, he asked me to get an abortion. He continued to break me by saying, "when it is born, call it a shithead". How on earth can a man say this to his wife is beyond me. After I left him, he wrote me a long poem and in it he pen this......"I still want to have another baby with you".

Here's one for the books: I was informed (by flying monkeys) that my n-mom was near death and suffering from dementia... still, I didn't acknowledge Mother's Day, but did send a gray rock letter... now (surprise, surprise) I have been INUNDATED with letters from n-mom... NO signs of dementia in her writings (not even funky penmanship) and nowhere near death, apparently... though she's "up there" in age. How's that for cruel? She has manipulated the very people who still surround and support her... not caring one iota that she made THEM suffer in the process of trying to get me back by LYING TO THEM about her health. I have a STACK of letters waiting for the burn pile... evil, evil, evil....

He was trying to get $100,000 from me because he hadn't worked full time during the marriage (25 years), and he was worried that he would not get any social security!!! When the sheriff arrested him he just casually let it drop that they should check my mental health history. I do have many years of MH counseling. The DA declined to prosecute after that. He tells me he'll not let me go. No man will want you.. I am isolated my home is in disarray. Totally alone and depressed. He has done so much to drag me down. Ruined my vehicle, furniture from deceased family members has been. Gouged with forks and knifes. Finishes sanded off furniture. He fishes for what he can aggravate me with. Sly sleazy cruel creature. A night. dweller that drags his prey undercover so you. Won't see what you had you'll still probably fumed.

Great video Andrew. Well my ex narcissist was a cruel monster I never knew that someone could be so heartless. He would often tell me I was sick in the head that I was too jealous, and just for asking him what time he would be coming home. He would tell me I was useless that he didn't even know why he was with me. I would be depressed and lonely he wouldn't speak to me, then he would bring his friend over and they would get food and he would ask me for money and ignore me all night not offer me anything and if I tried to speak to him he would tell me I was being rude. It got to the point that he would tell me to just kill myself and he would tell me that constantly.

Deep down inside, I don't like myself. It's been ingrained into me over a lifetime that I'm not enough. That's just the honest truth. However, I do understand that it's flawed thinking based on past interactions. So I am taking steps to recondition myself. But a n old pair of cowboy boots don't change their shape. So I am trying to work with what I've got. What I do get a lot of joy from is taking this newer knowledge and applying it to how I reinforce my kids self image. I try to tell them at least one thing a day about them that I think is really great. And then when they express their shortcomings, I try to put a spin on it in a way that encourages growth or a fresh perspective

I'm very physically healthy and in the last 3rd of my life. Never wanted my own kids. Just imagine the "marriage" I got into being an only child who my parents tried to keep as a child and mentally abusing me all my growing up years. LOVE your vids Andrew and subscribed.

But we haven’t completely severed our ties from things so I’ll be on guard.

I think my 30 something daughter might be one. She says to my wife, "you know daddy doesn't hear things right". My hearing is fine. Is that a N ? She smears me, tells me my family hates me. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother. The "alpha" brother-in-law is a N and leads the pack. I am the eldest of our blood. I stand alone. I'm on the low end of the spectrum with GAD. I don't care that my family has been turned against me. The games aren't worth playing or being around. They can all suffer their own disappointments and broken families. Peace and love.

There may be some luck in never having most of the issues that involved others. When you realize you were be kept hidden yet in plain sight. What I mean is the " ya do your thing with the narctriss always out of town " took awhile to catch on and ask "are you embarrassed to be seen with me ? " I dont even remember the reply. Some word salad while in the fog is unintelligible. Wasnt that at all. It was the stereotypical worry of being seen and that getting back to a number of others still needed for their particular supply. Some of them decent people who also thought it was exclusive and not wanting a ride on a caurosel either. So everyone gets there own toxic brew to consume. Until that now seen as breakthrough day occurs. Couldn't miss consistent traits now if I/we tried.

Yes. He said he was going to break into my job. A government building and go on a shooting spree. He told me he likes drama. He has been here stalking me. Driving by. He doesn't like that I've moved on. I was traumatized by a psychopath. He only cares about power and crushing other people. I wish I knew it when I met him.
