@@foureyeddriver Honda is smart and want consumers to spend more money.. They reserve all those higher amber lighting for the higher end Acura. The new TLX has all those different kind of lighting.. Kinda like some of the things or features you can't find in the Honda Civic SI but you can find in the Integra. Also, most luxury cars especially Acura, dont have any spare tires.

Yikes. Sorry to hear you have that problem. So far, I don't have that problem with my headrest. I believe it does adjust and tilt when you push it towards you or away from you.

The integrated navigation system is buggy, for both Apple and Android. I just fixed mine and had to restart it last night. Third time it happened to me but not often. Yeah BMWs are great cars but maintenance is pricey. Definitely check out the Type-S to see if you like it. I know its pretty limited but if you can get a hold of one with a refundable deposit for the summer, go for it. I'm doing that currently to see if it's right for me and if the price makes sense

Thank you@ The clutch is short for sure so the rpms do tend to get past 5,000rpms easily after the first and second gears. Not an issue, but the lag is something that I will eventually fix

Absolutely no sense with the absent spare tire. 😤 I read that as well in the forums that the quality of the camera in the older generations were more crisp. I agree about the quality at night for the backup camera, but I am just fortunate to have one, considering this is my first car that has one. Hopefully, they improve in the newer gens

Great question. The seats are surprisingly comfortable. The suede material does help for pretty long trips. I'm about to do a roadtrip soon so we'll definitely see if it can hold up for a couple of hours driving

What you said about the precipitation and condensation that the camera has at times is pretty hazardous. I agree that the placement of the camera could be somewhere that it can increase the visibility. As for the center display, that's pretty interesting that you have that problem. Do you sometimes use the map on the speedometer? That might help

Good questions. Unfortunately, there's only an engine bay latch underneath the car. The button on the ky fob unlocks it but you have to manually raise the trunk door. Yeah it's annoying. I have Android so I cannot answer that. I know but sometimes it does glitch on mine as well and the only way to correct it is by disabling the Bluetooth and start it up again or turn off the car and back on again. Another small glitch in the system.

@@foureyeddriver thanks for getting back to me quick that said this info will make me lean more towards civic sport touring which has a manual truck lease near the driver and no Apple CarPlay or android infotainment sync issues plus save 3-4K in the process damn I was rooting for the Integra bc I like the exterior styling more but those annoyances erk me

@Mike S Totally understand. If you find those annoyances too much to enjoy the car on the daily, I wouldn't get it if I were in your position. The Civic Sport Touring with the manual transmission is just as good, cheaper, and an actual lever on the side of the driver's door 👌

It's pretty good. Clear sound, bass, and treble.

Not sure but that's an idea. However the second cupholder would be in a troublesome position since the cutout is for that.

Great question. 20.7 is pretty unusual but hopefully, your Integra will be at 30 MPG. I just checked my Excel sheet since I'm tracking mine, and it was around 33.1 MPG the first 500 miles. I'll definitely do a video on the MPG that I get with this car.

I suggest the Gas buddy app to track MPG.

Compared to others, mist definitely they are minor. Still a few annoyances but I overall enjoy the car very much. Cabin noise is pretty good. I drove the new Civic before I got this car. You can definitely hear the difference between them.

@@foureyeddriver Yeah it’s a whole different vibe! I did it on my first Integra as well. Pretty much the driver and passenger side knee area under the dash and then under the front seats towards the rear for the rear passengers to enjoy. Pretty simple install and you can use either the 12V or USB to power it. Pick from a range of colours and brightness to customize it to your liking. I highly recommend it.

I'm looking to do this as well. However I wish there was a way to change the color of the white light strip that runs across the interior of the door. I'm afraid it's going to look off when I have red LEDs too.

@@jasonmurray8040 yeah I wish there were more factory colour options boggles my mind sometimes how they missed the mark with that. However the white in the doors doesn’t clash too much with the LEDs in my opinion. I set the LEDs to either red or blue for the footwells so it actually contrasts nice with the white strips on the doors.

I'll most likely buy a spare tire as well but I definitely agree that it should not be an option.

The government wants to mandate everything so they should require all new cars to come with a replaceable spare tire, donut acceptable but full size would be better. And it could be an option if you wanted to get a repair kit, just as an added precaution.

@@foureyeddriver A lot of car companies are/have already eliminated spare tires.....I know very little about what kind of tires Acura uses for their vehicles, but a lot of companies who have eliminated spares usually put run flats on their vehicles.

If only this car had more gears like the ILX. Revs pretty high during it's last gear around 80+mph

@Four Eyed Driver I have a normal one it doesn't have to be to thin either . Not to bulky but also not to skinny where it doesn't protect your phone . And it works fine I was actually impressed how it can still go through a normal 12 dollar amazon cover

@Four Eyed Driver is your integra making noises from the 9 inch screen ? Mine has 800 miles on the odo and ever since like 20 miles it makes that panel noise . I just came back from the dealership they said it didn't have anything no noises smh

Very valid points you stated. It would have been a cool feature to align with the colors of the modes but I'm asking too much for an Acura it seems. As for the spare tire, I was completely unaware about the absence of one. All the other new cars I bought in the past had them so I just assumed. Just extra unnecessary money for a part that has the space already installed in the car. Nice one Acura. The arm rest is definitely in a great spot. The problem is the cutout section of the arm rest where my elbow slips. If that means eliminating a cup holder, so be it. I just need one drink and I barely use it other than to gather spare coins 😂 The phone chord instead of the wireless charger does work but it compromises the Spotify and Bluetooth technology from my phone. It's probably an Android problem between the car and my phone so I just leave the wireless charger there to hold my phone and to charge as a bonus.

These are all 3rd world problems. 75% of the worlds population don’t even own cars and will never have the luxury of owning a car. Americans need to be humble about all the luxuries we are fortunate enough to have and quit complaining and acting like stuffy rich kids while others have nothing.

Love how you just implied that I'm rich and spoiled and wasn't in the struggle being raised in a third world country of West Africa, which I visit every 3 years to see my extended family, brought my brother over here and gave him my Hyundai for free in order for him to commute to his current job. That's beside the point. If you paid attention to the beginning and the end of the video, I stated that this is the best purchase I have made for myself in years, praising about the car overall. No car's perfect and this video represents my personal opinion about the few problems of the car. If you like everything about your Integra and it's flawless, congrats! I'm happy for you.

@@foureyeddriver Thanks for the Integra videos! Regarding that armrest situation. Yea, it's not major but I can see how it could be a small annoyance. Just depends on how each person drives and what they're used to as far as if it bothers you or not. It probably would bother me a bit, and it did when I test drove this car. Again, not major but just a bit uncomfortable. I'm sure I'd adapt though. Many cars just have a straight edge on the armrest that slides out to temporarily cover up the first cup holder. Makes it much more comfortable on the arm -- especially for a manual. Maybe someone will come up with an aftermarket accessory that fits in that back cup holder and fills up that opening/notch.

The wallet example was for the placement of the phone during a charge. Secondly, the ambient lighting, in my opinion, should correlate with the car modes, just like it does in the speedometer and touchscreen. Third, yeah you can patch it up but the nearest dealer and tire seller isn't always accessible, depending on where you are if your tire has a problem. The spare tire would easily temporarily fix that problem while the patch isn't 100%. I tried the patch problem from a loal mechanic and it was dismal.

I’d rather ride with a full size spare & swap it rather than patch a tire on the side of the road.

It’s not really though. The platform has been around on the civic for a while now & most quirks on that model have been working out over time. Same reason I’m getting the Integra Type S - the Type R quirks have been mostly worked out since 2017 & this is a 2024.

This is my first sedan that has that cut out middle. The previous sedans I owned didn't have that, and they were comfortable fitting my 6'3" height. Secondly, sedans and coupes are the only types of cars that I get the most fun. SUVs are boring and hell lol.
