Where I live we don't have vegan friendly beef bouillon, but as a experiment we put some Marmite in our vegan meatballs the other week and it was a game changer. I think we've made some variation of that recipe four times since then because it's soo umami-y and delicious.

Salisbury steak was a comfort food for me as a child. I’ve made it twice in the last month after not having it for the past 5 years since becoming vegan. It was so tasty. My husband loved it too. It inspired me to go through my moms recipes and veganize them to get that warm comfort feeling back in my life

Hi from the Caribbean, I'm new to this lifestyle but it's not a permanent change and I have learnt new recipes from you but my one take is you should blend culantro, scallions, garlic, pimento and garlic and add it to ur meals for seasoning it adds an amazing flavor and trust me you wouldn't regret 😊😊

Try using a salad spinner to dry soy curls off instead of squeezing. So much faster and easier! 🙂

Make sure the Worcestershire sauce is vegan! Most commercial brands are made with anchovies. Annie’s and Whole Foods have vegan versions. Also, Karissa’s Vegan Kitchen has a recipe for the sauce that has been very highly rated.

Ok, since you’re Jewish (as am I), do you make vegan versions of lokshen kugel, rugelach, gehackte leber, and/or blintzes? I found (and lost) a recipe for the most amazing carrot lox (for the best vegan cream cheese and lox on a bagel, with a slice each of tomato and onion). I was kvelling!

Not in the vegan version. In the UK biona has a vegan version which is what I use.

Bean work in a pinch. But depends on the recipe lol Red Lentils are great in curry dishes. Keep in mind that different lentils have a different texture, ie brown lentil stay whole but yellow and red break down. Tempeh and soy curls are more 'meaty' so keep with the texture of the tofu recipes, but if you are just looking for a protein alternative to tofu that's easier to get or less 'fussy' then beans are great because you can just pop open a can and throw them in. Faux mean works too. Quorn chicken pieces would be delicious in these tofu recipes too!

Looks good, but I don't understand the love for impossible, the metallic blood taste is really off-putting to me. Just my opinion.

Plus all the additives. May be vegan but imho not healthy. Don’t enjoy the taste of any of the faux ground burgers. Best to make own but convenience of these, maybe once in a great while, is pretty cool and does offer more options to vegans or those wanting to become vegan.

I didn't stop eating meat because I didn't like the taste. I miss steak but, when I think of the suffering involved I quickly get over it! There's also a lot of suffering in the dairy industry.
