For the life of me, I can't figure out why people are so against Parameters. You are not putting anyone else in danger other than Yourself. You're not damaging any landscape or structures, Being an expert pilot as you are, It doesn't make Sense. I'm sure those same people do things that bug other people, But are so narrow minded, And need to control other people's Lives. Tucker continue to have fun and enjoy what you do, Always enjoy your videos!

Its loud. But other than that, at least in germany, you are responsible for what happens on your property. I would assume its probably the same for America. But for a good laugh: in Germany, when someone slips and gets hurt on the sidewalk next to your house, which you didnt clear the snow off of, youre responsible 😂😂😂

It might be the noise. When one flew by me at the beach (pretty cool) it did sound like a flying dirt bike. Wish they could figure out a way to make them quieter then less people might complain?

Here lately, you can thank Hamas for some of the flak we PPG pilots are getting here recently😢. Already had neighbor Karen (that always calls and complains, mind you) call the law on me "concerned" I was one of them...ahem...."terrorizers" (his actual words).

I am 88 flights in and nearly crashed the other day. Nothing major but lack of skill and less than ideal decision making. Man, if I then look at Tucker's flying skills! I fully appreciate how much time it takes to make it look that easy! Also: kind of funny how you can't fly out of that park anymore, but they cannot stop you from flying over it, arguably annoying the people more than when taking off and flying away!

My first cop experience ever and guess what. Paragliding! We were towing in the middle of NOWHERE from a county road. I understand why POWERED paragliding is constantly under attack only due to the noise (I understand but don't agree with it) but paragliding?? The most quiet unobstrusive thing EVER. The cops were awesome though and were more interested in paragliding and how it all worked. In the end (and I think this is the important part) we asked that they could help be a liason with the complainant (is that a word?) to help educate them that we weren't intent on trespassing, damaging property or any nasty shenanigans. We just found a sweet place with zero power lines which is rare and don't want to lose our site. Getting involved with the locals, being nice to police etc to help promote a site is the best way in my opinion. Tucker, you do a great job doing this but you'll always have that one Karen. Much harder with the powered stuff.

The limited flying sites because of Karens isn't just a problems up in NJ. I'm in NC and we just got kicked out of a flying site because the land owner started getting a lot of complaints. I've found some sneaky areas to take off from that hasn't caused problems yet but they're not the most optimal LZs. I think it just comes with the sport.

TN is bad also. Almost every small town park and airport has now passed "no paramotor" policy. Why? We are unlicensed. Ungoverned. Unregulated (except broad FAR 103) and most of all, we do not buy their inflated gas-thus provide income. Most common airport manager comment-"Our insurance and agreement with the County/City does not allow us to be open to Paramotors or ANY experimental." (As I see several homebuilt, fixed wing, gas drinking, experimental planes sitting in T hangers.) Parks have put up "No motorized vehicles" signs. I have fostered a good relationship with several farmers who have fields and let me fly in and out of.

I always wonder how this works in the USA, like Tucker flying basically next to someone house on farm fields at very low altitudes? Is this not an issue for the owners? I always see him almost dragging his feet on the corn and so on.

@@Blackhawk182182 Legally it’s not a problem because you’re not on the ground and you don’t own the sky above your property. But we get a lot of complaints submitted to the town because people hate the noise and otherwise just get mad.

@@danielyawn8753 If the airport receives ANY public funds from the feds they cannot ban Paramotors....and about 95% do receive the funds. I am sure a Google search will provide the details, but it is an easy way to force them to let you use the airport.

A tip you might make about torque, that I found handy from my instructor, was that you should use throttle on the hand opposite of the direction of torque. My motor torques right, so I use lefthand throttle. That way when I launch, if I need to use my non-throttle hand to do anything, like adjust the seat, whatever, I still have my throttle and can compensate for torque with some left brake.
@TuckerGott
@TuckerGott 6 ай бұрын
Interesting idea. I always went by the non dominant rule. The throttle goes in your non dominant hand so your dominant hand can throw the reserve or use your phone.
