I'll be sharing with you my weekend spending in Toronto. As one of Canada's pricier cities to reside in, I aim to give you a glimpse into what a weekend in this metropolis city might entail. Despite being a minimalist spender who generally leans towards saving, the looming concern is the impact of the recent high inflation. So, I get into breaking down my expenses dollar by dollar for the two days I spend out in Toronto.
See you all in the next one,
-Frank

Love these grab your phone to film being out and about in the city. I especially enjoy the ground level view of stores during walks down the city streets. I'd welcome seeing more videos like this in the future. Interesting to follow what you choose to do on your weekend, and also interesting to see how fast the cost adds up. It's something to which we can all relate. Thanks, Frank, for another enjoyable video. 👍

Dinner as a couple & 1 child (tween) runs us about $ 225 in the GTA without fail. Good restaurants but still. And yes the kid is lucky.

One caution about the Presto card… don’t put it with your credit card. It might accidentally charge both. Happened to my brother in law… 😢

The weekly groceries shouldn’t count because it’s weekly groceries not really part of the weekend out. So basically $100 for the weekend and that’s pretty reasonable.

Toronto is terrible, not the same like it was 10 years ago. High costs of living, weak Canadian dollar, tiny job market, oversaturated amount of school graduates, overpopulation due to mass influx of people, etc

Toronto doesn't make people broke, nor do other cities, people spending their money, whether it's earned from a job or provided by the government, wasting money frivilously and living beyond one's means makes a person broke. Too many people these days want to live beyond their means, they think they're entitled to live beyond their means in luxury and when they can't do that they do things like blame the government, and these days, they blame the carbon tax and Justin Trudeau. These days the concept of working hard for what you want seems to evade people, instead they just want everything handed to them, because "it's my right, not being able to goes against my rights".
