I totally agree with how you went about Charizard and the Mega Stone. Charizard is very prideful, so it makes sense that it would be against Mega Evolving. Still, I feel like Lysandre was being a little too forceful for not giving Ash a choice with taking the Mega Stone, where with Alain he did give the boy a choice. Still, it’s a pretty small thing, so I can deal.

The changes here are interesting. I didn't expect Froakie missing out on learning Double Team due to Chespin's actions. While I personally liked Chespin with Clemont, it'll be interesting seeing a story of it with Ash. Charizard being a training partner for Froakie is pretty cool. I must admit, I chuckled at how tiny Bonnie looks due to the editing.

Personally would’ve liked for Chespin to stay with Clemont but this is cool too. Interesting development for Froakie so far. Ash is set up to have a trio of aces with Pikachu, Charizard, and Froakie.

A few things. One, I like how charziard managed to beat alian early on the adventure, two, I love how Lysandre gave ash a mega stone along with a charziard y(though it be awesome if he was offered both charziard x and y key stones), three, I like how chespin joined the team but it made me wonder why join ash instead of clemont(since he catches chespin in the original), also, I hope froakie doesn’t get downgraded a little because I somewhat feel that. But overall love this what if and can’t wait to see the next one

If any Ash pokémon deserves more spotlight I would have to go with Glalie Mega stone compatible, usually overshadowed by its ghostly counterpart and a way to counter zygarde if the story concludes with the cannon confrontation with Z2

Ash owns a few Pokémon by this point that are capable of mega evolution. Like Haracross and Sceptile

@@anchorsaway9500 yes but sceptile got chances to shine in Sinnoh and aim to be a Pokémon master. Heracross had both Sinnoh plus battle frontier. How many chances by comparison did Glalie get to show off other than a teased return in prep for Conway's battle in Sinnoh league?

Personally I think Charizard would be interested in Mega Evolution as I believed Mega Evolution comes from the Pokémon itself and is activated by the bond with their human partner. But Charizard wasn’t interested in the Charizardite Y or X, hw wanted something special.

I think chespin be on Ash's team giving the same grass fire & water is perfect, plus Adding Charizard to the team means no talonflame or Hawlucha right.

I did think that Ash Should catch Chespin since during Pokémon XY and Z Chespin didn’t really do much and he was just the comic relief simmer problem with Ash not catching Mudkip although in your version of Pokémon Journeys he did catch Mudkip and your version of Charizard coming to Kalos it was better that Ash catches Chespin and well Charizard get stronger without Mega Evolution since there will be 2 Mega Charizards between with Alain and Trevor rest in peace Talonflame

Honestly, it was only when making this episode's script that I realized Chespin could go with Ash at all. And while with Ash, Chespin will have plenty of time to become more developed. As for Charizard, of course he'll get stronger. He's a seasoned veteran as far as Ash's Pokémon go, but that doesn't mean he can't improve further

This part I feel had some problems. 1. Why does Ash get Chespin? Unless you want him to have the Grass, Fire, Water Trio there's really NO Point in giving him Chespin, as there's better Grass types in Kalos that suit Ash much BETTTER!!! 2. The Battle Chateau should've been Pikachu or Charizard or also have Serena & Clemont also join in to I feel. 3. The Gym Battle against Grant why not show off both Kalos Fossil Pokemon? 4. Ash NOT getting Skerlp I feel like it'd add some type diversity, considering it becomes a Poison/ Dragon type later, HOPEFULLY he gets both Goodra & Noivern later to make up for that!!! 5. When will Bonnie get Dedenne?

To answer these points: 1. You really just answered your own question with the Fire, Water, Grass core thing. But also, Ash usually uses the Grass starter in the different Generations, the events that would result in Clemont having Chespin don't happen as their setup didn't, which gave room for why Chespin joins in this, and Chespin will be able to have more development with Ash. There also aren't many Grass options in Kalos at all. The best option would probably be Phantump, but I don't see a reason for why Ash would catch it in this currently. 2. Battle Chateau was a good opportunity to develop Chespin. Pikachu and Charizard already get plenty of time to shine. There's also nothing that would cause Serena or Clemont to participate either. 3. No reason to change the canon with Grant's team. I don't think he should've used Onix over Amaura, but there was also no reason to change canon just because I wanted something else to happen. This isn't a rewrite 4. There was no reason to change canon in order to have Ash catch Skrelp. I was considering it for quite a while, but the addition of Charizard wouldn't make any difference in whether Ash caught Skrelp or not. 5. Bonnie already has Dedenne

Serena would probably want to impress Ash at the Battle Chateau & Clemont is a Gym Leader that way he'd be able to keep both himself & his Pokemon in shape! 3. I guess not. Though I do think it'd been a good set up for later. 4. So he's gonna get both Goodra & Noivern right? Please. 5. Oh.

Alain already has Mega Charizard X. That's quite literally his ace. So why would Ash use it?
