Alright I’m seeing a LOT of the same comments here so let me answer then: 1) Goku has killed and does kill. If you watched this video instead of just commenting, you’d realize I change Nappa, Vegeta, and make it so he NEVER spares Freeza. Watch my “Morality of Goku” video if you want my FULL analysis on his treatment of Villains overtime. 2) Future Trunks is the ORIGINAL timeline. Goku’s change of heart would be a change that splits the timeline. If you don’t like him being present, that’s fine - all it does is screw up the timeline SOONER. 3) Buu has ALWAYS been on Earth. Supreme Kai states that the shell was left there because they thought mortals would never find it. As for power, Babidi said hundreds of humans would be like SS2 Gohan so BILLIONS worldwide should be enough. If not they move planet to continue fueling. Babidi NEVER sought out Earth - Buu was there from the beginning.

So in any case, Vegeta's survival is pretty much essential to the plot. Without him, Goku probably wouldn't have trained as hard to prepare him for the likes of Majin Buu and other future enemies, and had this lead to a possibility of Future Trunks not arriving, Goku would have lost his life to the heart virus.

Guys...Future Trunks comes from an ALTERNATE timeline. Any what if I make is an ALTERNATE timeline of the MAIN timeline - meaning Future Trunks can STILL show up to an altered history in these scenarios. Future Trunks also shows up in the main timeline - a timeline where Cell had ALREADY came back from the future and thus changed history - since Future Trunks is the ORIGINAL timeline he can travel to ANY What If. This should make sense, but I guess it's not clear enough.

This sounds like a storytellers dream and a marketing nightmare.

I feel like once Trunks shows goku and gohan super saiyan, Goku would still train the form intensely and push it to super saiyan 2 and eventually 3. It isnt like him to just stop. Whether or not he discovers the forms in time for Buu is another question although, if he has this killer instinct, he'd probably dispatch of dabura and babidi before Buu could be reborn

YOU'VE UNLOCKED: The Easy Ending

I think we're forgetting one VERY important person: Piccolo. Goku had the opportunity to destroy the egg and Jr again at the end of the tournament, but didn't.

I think the events of this timeline would cause trouble much earlier than the Buu Saga. King Cold still exists in this scenario, and he didn't have Frieza around to tell him about Earth. But Cold would still search for Frieza, and this search would no doubt lead him to Namek, easily found because the planet hadn't been destroyed or relocated. This is where a lot of the timeline would really go awry. For starters, he'd learn Frieza's killers came from Earth. But there's also a good chance that Cold either knew about the Dragon Balls already (via scouter surveillance) or would learn about them from torturing the Namekians. And it seems like there's a VERY high chance that Cold would collect them and wish for immortality. It's also plausible he would revive Frieza with them as well. Frieza could then use the third wish for immortality on himself. If this were to occur, the timeline is completely fucked beyond any salvation. Cold (and Frieza if revived) would go to Earth and kill everyone. Even Future Trunks arriving wouldn't do any good, i'm not sure what he would do in response to being unable to kill them. On the slim chance that Cold didn't discover the Dragon Balls and wish for immortality, he'd still make his way to Earth and easily defeat the Z Fighters. King Cold was stated to be even stronger than Final Form or Cyborg Frieza, Future Trunks again would have to step in. But even then there's still a very good chance that King Cold would simply blow up the Earth from orbit without even landing, which is what he wanted to do in the original timeline before Frieza insisted on landing and personally killing everyone by hand. If King Cold blows up the Earth from orbit, Future Trunks likely wouldn't be able to prevent it (even if Cold wasn't immortal and could be killed). If all of this was able to be circumvented somehow, I do think there's a way to navigate the Buu Saga. This depends on whether the Supreme Kai decides to arrive on earth early and warn the Z Fighters of Buu and takes them to his planet to train. This is what occurred in the Future Trunks timeline, Supreme Kai approached Trunks and got him to train with the Z Sword. Trunks was then able to kill Dabura and prevent Buu from being revived. Perhaps in this scenario, Goku and Gohan are invited to try to pull the Z Sword out and are able to train with it. It would be possible to achieve a similar level of power to what they had in the original timeline. This would again be enough to beat Dabura at least. But there's also the possibility that Elder Kai could be released. Goku originally suggested they test the Z Sword's strength, which caused it to break. If this were to occur again, Elder Kai could offer to unlock their powers. Doing this for both Gohan and Goku could make them just as strong (if not moreso in Goku's case) as they were in the original timeline. And also circumventing the need for Super Saiyan transformations anymore. But regardless of whether elder Kai is released or not, Z Sword training would likely still be enough to kill Dabura. There's also a very high chance that Buu wouldn't have enough energy to hatch given that Vegeta is no longer alive to cause any trouble and feed him energy. Good chance this crisis would be averted just by dealing with Dabura and killing Babidi. Problems would start when Beerus arrives on Earth looking for the Super Saiyan God (assuming he wakes up in this timeline). Beerus would probably remain in a better mood without Buu there to piss him off, but he would still insist on finding his rival and tensions would rise to satiate his desire. They're missing at least two Saiyans without Vegeta or Kid Trunks, so the SS God Ritual wouldn't be possible with what they currently have. And that's assuming Gohan still meets Videl (or some other girl) and adds another Saiyan hybrid to use in the ritual. I suppose they'd need to use the Dragon Balls to find other Saiyans and bring them to earth. This COULD potentially bring Broly and Paragus into the story earlier than expected, which would really change things around. Vegeta is long dead, so Paragus' character could end up being very different in this case and he may even hold Goku in some esteem for being the one who killed him. It's plausible that Goku (or Gohan) still attain SS God in this case. Blue is another story, it depends on whether Goku still goes off to train with Whis. In the anime, Vegeta is the one who begs Whis to go with him and Goku only joins in after not wanting to fall behind. I believe in the Manga this scenario isn't shown and it's unexplained how or why the two get to Whis' planet. Though in this scenario, the presence of Broly might also encourage Goku to seek training from Whis as well. So SS Blue might still be attained. One thing I will say about Revival of F- I think it's actually fairly likely that Frieza would forego training and trying to achieve a higher form. There were two things that motivated Frieza to want to train. The first was Goku transforming into a Super Saiyan and beating him at 100% of his power (and later Future Trunks as well). The second was learning Goku had become even stronger and managed to kill Buu (one of only two creatures in the universe King Cold warned him NEVER to challenge). Without this insight however, Frieza would thoughtlessly run right to earth in enraged arrogance. After all, from his perspective Goku had gotten lucky and caught him in his first form and he was hundreds of times more powerful in 100% final form. And he'd get destroyed. Some of the lower tier characters (perhaps even Tien or Krillin) would be able to handle him. Let alone Goku, Gohan and Piccolo (or Broly if he's there). Champa's Tournament might divert somewhat. Gohan could stand in for Vegeta, or Broly if he's around. Can't say if Hit would win or not, but I think the end result would be about the same. I'm REALLY not sure how the Goku Black arc would go. There was an anime exclusive scene where Goku fights Black in the present for the first time, and there's a chance that a more ruthless Goku would just go all-out here and kill Black right then and there (not allowing him to escape back to the future). But otherwise i'm not sure how this would end up going if this scene was excluded. Vegeta was VERY important in this arc and I can't imagine it going as well without him. Broly might at least help make up for it if he were to become involved.

I understand why the Trunks timelines are usually consistent in what ifs with how timelines seem to work in XenoVerse but I'd enjoy more what ifs actually change that too. Different philosophy for how what ifs should be done, but fair enough to not say it's a bad way to do it.

Goku's nature to train alot is still the same. With his extraordinary talent to break his limits im sure hes able to reach Super Saiyan on his own when King Kai tells him about the legend after defeating Frieza. Then when Frieza or King Cold comes back to Earth for round 2 he would be more than ready with this transformation. When Trunks tells him about the androids im sure he ups the training even more and he very well might be able to defeat the androids with the help of Trunks and the others. If they won't, Super Piccolo with the other Z-fighters are surely more than a match for the androids & imperfect cell will shortly fall after without being able to absorb the androids. The Majin Buu saga gets tricky because theres 3 years of no threat and even though Goku will still train we dont know for sure what kind of level he possesses. I dont think he would be at SSJ2 level yet but most likely at Mastered SSJ1, because he would keep up the training no matter what but has no knowledge of being able to go SSJ2 (theres no legend story of that yet). Would Super Piccolo + MSSJ Goku with the other Z-fighters be enough to defeat Dabura? Probably not, but if they start losing at any point and some of the Z-fighters get killed then Goku might break through SSJ2 and wipe out Dabura with Babidi and Majin Buu would never get resummoned. But its safe to say without the rivalry of Vegeta and others, Goku would not be as powerful as he was in the actual storyline. Bonus: * Even though Goku killed Frieza, the Frieza army with King Cold could still build Mecha Frieza to come back to Earth and if not then King Cold alone could make a appearance. * Goku has not been on Yardrat so he doesnt know instant transmission. * Android 16 could be a huge obstacle and the series could end right there and then because even with Super Piccolo they do not have the power to defeat 16, 17 & 18. * However the androids in this timeline aren't evil. At least not in the same way as they were in Trunks' timeline. They didnt kill a single human and showed mercy to the Z-fighters in the original timeline so its possible they would do the same with Goku being part of the Z-fighters and they might form some sort of alliance after a fierce battle. (Yes Goku was supposted to kill villains but if the androids didnt kill anyone they arent considered villains. At least they looked like rebel teenagers in the dbz show and not merciless killers). (Also I know in this version he used the dragonballs to handle the androids, but Goku wouldnt be able to resist a challenge even if he wouldnt show mercy in battle). * In the original DBZ episodes Majin Buu got summoned with the full energy of SSJ2 Gohan & the battle of SSJ2 Goku with Majin Vegeta. However thats not possible in this scenario so its very likely the Z-fighters could have gotten more than 3 years worth of time to train for this next foe. * With Majin Buu being released somewhat later i would like to see how that matched up to the Z-fighters including the androids helping them out. It would be a whole new arc that I'd sure like to see. With Bulma's high sense of technology she might be able to upgrade the androids to even more powerful beings & with these new training partners Goku would also be able grow faster in strenght.

Depending on the size of the threat I feel as though Goku has a responsible to kill the enemy because of the effect they may have on innocent people. Sometimes mercy only allows an enemy to kill more people, thus it becomes necessity to defend them by any means necessary

I feel like by the Buu Saga we'd then get a similar story to the version of events in the Future Trunks Arc. Supreme Kai and Kibito come to train Goku and the others for Babidi arriving since they might not be strong enough and together they could defeat Dabura, or at the very least if Buu awakened then they would flee with Supreme Kai urging someone to unhook the Z-Sword eventually causing Elder Kai to awaken.

5:10 200,000?! Gohan couldn't even take on Recoome after getting his potential unlocked by Guru, let alone Captain Ginyu at around 100,000! The powerups they got only put them on par with Vegeta when he first landed... enough to beat Dodoria and untransformed Zarbon, but not transformed Zarbon.

Majin Buu could make an appearance, but probably not as early as he did in the original time line.

Even with the killing added goku always has been interested in training and pretty good at it. After learning SSJ he would feel there is more potential and keep on training to unlock the higher grades wich makes it likely he would rival Dabura or surpass him. Also killing goku wouldn't let sapowich and otherdude(forgot his name) escape but beat them down outright because of danger remember normal SSJ was stronger then kaioshin at that point so him interfearing wouldn't work

I don’t know if the series would play out exactly like this with the simple fact that Goku is still a saiyan. They still live for a strong and challenging battle. I feel when Bulma makes mention of using the Dragon Balls to find Dr. Gero lab, Goku would decline after some thought. He would still end up killing the Androids and Cell if the opportunity presented itself, but his thrill for a chance to find someone very strong, which is in his saiyan biology, would impact his decision to kill the Androids while they lay dormant. This is just how I see it going

You could argue that Goku could stack Kaio-ken with Grade 4 Super Saiyan, like how he does with Blue. That could help him against Dabura, and Goku might want to jump Babidi and his crew once they walk out of the elevator. It could still work, and no Majin Vegeta complications can help. It's also not impossible for Goku to find out about Super Saiyan 2, so it's not entirely off the table, especially if he and Gohan do Time Chamber training during the Buu Saga like Gotenks did.

There were two things that I didn’t agree with in the video... 1. Goku shouldn’t have beaten Frieza that easy. In the video Goku kills Frieza easily because of the Kaioken x10. But at this stage Goku wasn’t able to use the Kaioken for long periods of time, especially to the degree he’s using it in the video, he could only use it in short bursts. This should give Frieza the chance to still fight back against Goku, and eventually transform. Then once fused Piccolo and Nail arrive, they Piccolo fights Frieza the same way it happened in the show. Then the fight should go on some what the same way it did in the show, but replacing Vegeta with Piccolo. 2. The existence of Trunks shouldn’t be a thing. Trunk’s timeline was only an alternate time line because Trunks went back in time. This means in Trunk’s world everything in his world happened in the current timeline until trunks went back in time. So if the two worlds were the same until time travel, then Trunks shouldn’t have been born since Vegeta was dead, and time travel would’ve never happened.

I definitely agree with the majority of what you say up until the buu arc, things would still be significantly different and wouldn’t just end there. If goku and gohan got super saiyan from trunks they’d still be there and training, even if they didn’t have a direct threat looming over them. For the next 7 years they would improve and possibly reach their cell games power level with goku and gohan both still attaining super saiyan 2 since goku is all for furthering their power. On top of that shin would still make contact with goku and the others follow spopovich and yamu back to the ship and without really waiting goku, gohan and piccolo would attack dabura together and regardless of how strong danura may be, taking on the three of them would result in him dying before they can give buu enough power to come out. Especially without vegeta being there, babidi wouldn’t be able to get any allies and die, thus bringing piece. Till the beerus arc and from their things wouldn’t go well since they don’t have enough super saiyans for the god ritual. So things would end around their instead of with buu

Actually in the saiyan saga he wouldnt have died at all. Remember he grabbed raditz’s tail which neutralized him completely but he let raditz go because of his morality. If he was really willing to kill it wouldve been a done deal by then. Then they wouldve perished to vegeta

Your story makes sense of why Goku always fought enemies at his lowest level.

I feel like more could've happened with the Namek arc if Dende was used here. Goku outright beating Frieza like that admittedly feels boring, despite it being very possible to do so before he could transform. With Goku's Saiyan nature, he probably wouldn't help himself with the idea of the challenge despite the lack of a moral dilemma. Frieza would still transform into second form and body Goku enough to nearly kill him (which could help further develop Goku's mindset to kill after he recovers, since it'd be interesting character development to see him still struggle with killing until now). Then Dende could come around and heal him while Nail-fused Piccolo and the others manage to push Frieza into Final Form, like in the original. Goku only needed one Zenkai while on Namek in the original story to surpass Vegeta (after his 3 total Zenkais), so Dende being around could cause the final phase of the Namek Arc to be mostly untouched in this What-if. Goku would already be a Super Saiyan before the Android saga, bypassing the need for Original Timeline Trunks to deal with the "Y'all don't have a Super Saiyan" issue.

No matter how you slice it, Majin Boo is an insane threat and there's literally only ONE timeline where all the super random specifics work out in a way that allows him to be defeated

If Future Trunks' timeline is anything to go off of, they may never end up encountering Majin Buu because even combined they wouldn't have the energy to release him. Babidi and Dabura might not even bother messing with them either.

One thing that could change this is that Goku may NOT have died because he could’ve kept holding Raditz’s tail.

The Sayin saga is mostly the same but the slight tweak sparked a domino effect changing things.

I realize this video is older, but I had a thought. Something you didn't account for in the Frieza/Sayian Saga is that it took Bulma, Krillin and Gohan like a month or something to reach Namek on Kami's ship. However, it only took like eight days from the pod ship Mr. Briefs fixed up. Vegeta's ship would have landed in front of Vegeta as he tried to escape, therefore the Z Fighters would have had easy access to it. This jump in time throws off all the events on Namek. Not to mention, they were able to get to Namek faster, but the senzu still took time to grow. Assuming they left as soon as they could(like they did originally), that would give them about an extra three weeks(Earth time) on Namek without Goku.

There's a little hole in your theory when you go into the Buu saga. Because there's no Cell, nobody has a reason to train in the Hyperbolic time chamber, so the Saiyans don't become so powerful and they don't unlock any other forms besides SS grade 1. Even if there's a tournament and they all participate, I doubt Spopovitch and Yamu would try to get energy from the Z fighters, it would not be worth it if they saw them fight in base form and probably not even as Super Saiyans because their power wouldn't be considered big enough to be fee to Buu. Because the Saiyans and Piccolo are not so strong I don't think the Supreme Kai would be so interested and he'd know how far above Darbura is of them. He probably wouldn't paralyze Gohan, so if Spopovitch and Yamu tried a sneak attack they would be easily dealt with by the Super Saiyans, even though they wouldn't be stronger than the Supreme Kai himself. It would be a while before Babidi knew what happened and if the Supreme Kai told the Z fighters about the threat and how they could beat Darbura, let alone Buu, they would probably train in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, getting way stronger than before this time over. If Goku doesn't mind killing now, it's likely that all the fighters would attack Darbura at the same time and make sure he was killed. Someone would kill Babidi as well before he summoned Buu and Buu would be taken care of. No Z Sword, no Elder Kai, no Ultimate Gohan, no SS3 Goku. The problem would be Beerus because there wouldn't be enough Saiyans to perform the SS God ritual and he would destroy the planet out of spite.

How could Majin Buu be revived if they never reached Super Saiyan? The Saiyans would never get their zenkai boost from being beaten up during the Cell saga. They also wouldn't have gotten the power boost from training in the time chamber. Goku wouldn't have been blown up by Cell so he would still be alive. So the Z fighter's power would be far lower. I doubt Bibadi would have the power needed to awaken him. In Dragon Ball Super Future trunks beats Dabura with the help of Supreme Kai. Even with a lower power having a living Goku and not having to worry about a 24 hours time limit on Earth or Vegeta going Majin would really give them the man power to defeat Dabura and Babidi.
