If Goku was born as the legendary ssj, his base power level as even a baby would be exceedingly high and he would be placed in the elite warrior incubation room. Meaning that Bardok and Gine wouldn’t have the means to save him before Frieza blew up planet Vegeta. I believe that this is the most logical path this what if would go, but I get people like their what if we made the main character OP stories.

Since legendary super saiyan form is non canon since the legendary super saiyan broly movie. We seen broly full power super saiyan form can be controlled even though it is exhaust throughout the fight let's take kale for example she was abnormally stronger then normal saiyans but her power was instantly exhausted after taking a certain amount of damage that she cant tank and forced her to fall unconcious for a few mins to recover

I believe everything would have been on easy mode up until Cell. Remember, Dr. Gero gathered DNA from all fighters including Goku, meaning if Goku was the legendary super saiyan (assuming it is a genetic trait), then he would likely make Cell unintentionally stronger.

What would actually happen is that since as the LSSJ he would have a high power lvl at birth therefore would be detected by Frieza when being sent to Earth and would’ve been promptly killed or taken in maybe

The legendary super saiyan we know about in the anime is actually the possibility for a saiyan to become stronger by obtaining this form. Wich adds the word ''super'', for a saiyan wich have a much stronger powerlevel than a regular saiyan, a super saiyan. And legendary super saiyan because the ssj is a legend, a myth only known real by those who acheived supersaiyan. So basically broly's form is just berserker according to the new broly movie, i think its a branch of supersaiyan that only broly discovered due to his amazing genes. And that means that frieza was not scared of a super saiyan, he was scared of the LEGENDARY super saiyan that could beat him.

If you think about it he was the legendary ssj when he first turned. No one new about broly . Akira toriyama just decided to nerf Goku with the broly thing.

The biggest issue for Goku being born a Mutant Legendary Saiyan (LSSJ a inherently demonic SSJ form that is part of the C-type Super Saiyan line which is only accessible to mutant Legendary Saiyans which is what Kale and the various incarnations of Broly are) is King Vegeta banishing Kakarot like he did with Broly or ordering his execution like King Vegeta did in the original Broly film trilogy! In the canon, Kakarot was a low class Saiyan like his parents as Raditz was born a mid-class, which is why he was assigned to work alongside Nappa & Prince Vegeta even though he was still a child though he was on the low end of said class due to being from a low class family! In the canon, Goku was sent to Earth by his parents due to Bardock realizing the possibility that Frieza was planning to exterminate them based upon his forces asking around about the Super Saiyan legend and Frieza's order to return to Planet Vegeta which was ignored by Prince Vegeta leading to him, Raditz, & Nappa's survival! Kakarot was able to avoid notice due to being a low class child and Gine concealing the reason why they sent him to Earth when she contacted Raditz who was lead to believe or assumed Kakarot had been sent to Earth as an infiltration baby which is the Saiyan practice of sending weak children to invade weaker worlds, with the Frieza Force assuming Kakarot had been sent by the Saiyan Army in the confusion of Planet Vegeta's destruction! There is also the tendency of Legendary Saiyans to lose control of themselves, and there is also Goku's Great Ape form, which would be significantly more powerful if he was born a Legendary Saiyan, to the point he might destroy the Earth! Kakarot also would have likely been too powerful in base for Grandpa Gohan to control as Jaco the Galactic Patrolman manga implies Grandpa Gohan survived fighting base Kakarot when they first met due to Kakarot's inexperience and low power level at that point in his life, which ended up with Grandpa Gohan adopting him & naming him Son Goku with Kakarot begrudgingly being placated with food though due to his lack of manners he squatted on the table to eat rather than sit in a nearby chair! It was only after his head injury that Kakarot became the pure heart Son Goku! Additionally, Legendary Saiyan Goku's strength would mean he could probably eliminate most threats with little training and probably beat Jackie Chun & Tienshinhan with his raw power & speed, winning the World Martial Arts Tournament much earlier! Canonically, Goku learned a lot from his failures (his defeats by Jackie Chun, Mercenary Tao, Tien, & King Piccolo forced him to continue training or seek out methods to attain more power like the Sacred Water which lead to him climbing Korin's Tower or the Ultra Divine Water to become strong enough to defeat King Piccolo) and his sacrifice to kill Raditz led him to train under King Kai which only happened cause he died! Additionally, Goku would have likely been stronger than Vegeta to the point of being able to kill him! Vegeta helped defeat Ginyu when he stole Goku's body, so a Legendary Saiyan Goku might end up losing their body to Ginyu who would have an easier time accessing its power due to not needing knowledge of Kaio-ken to access it (which is the main reason the body change nerfed Goku's body as Ginyu didn't know Kaio-ken power up to utilize its power properly) as it would likely just be Goku's natural power as a Legendary Saiyan! There is also the risk of the power destroying him according to Universe 6 legends regarding said mutants!

Goku IS the legendary super Saiyan. He was the super Saiyan SON GOKU!!!!! Also it's a misconception that the legendary super Saiyan continues to grow in power when that's not the case. It was brolys ki that was overflowing cause his body couldn't maintain the form. But due to his zenkai in the second Broly movie his body was able to maintain it so his body wasn't overflowing and he didn't need to release it randomly like he did in the first one

Someone prove me wrong, but I was pretty sure “The Legendary Super Saiyan” is the one saiyan who is able to actually achieve the super saiyan form. Since the last saiyan to ever go super saiyan was a thousand years ago. The “Legendary Super Saiyan” would prove to be the strongest existing saiyan, and also the one to save the Saiyan race. Which Goku technically saved Gohan and Vegeta from Frieza. However, when broly came along, his form was just called “Legendary Super Saiyan” Again, it’s been a long time since one actually existed, but this time you would have to be born with it.

If goku was the legendary super saiyan then frieza would not have come back after namek, cell would be MUCH stronger, and the power levels of everyone else would be higher so they could catch up to him.
