Pokemon Journeys is the newest generation of the Pokemon Anime. However, despite the many highs, there are also several criticisms of it. Today I bring you the twenty-second part in my rewrite of this new series, where I will attempt to fix some of these issues, as well as add in some things I would've liked to have seen in the series so far. Pokémon Journeys: The Series is the eighth part of the anime series. It features all of the regions from the main-series games, including the Generation VIII games Pokémon Sword and Shield. This series shares its Japanese name with the original series when the anime first premiered in 1997, and is officially labeled with "2019", the year this series started in, for disambiguation. This new series focuses on the two protagonists Ash Ketchum and Goh, along with their partners Pikachu and Cinderace. It also features a young girl named Koharu (Chloe), who has a Yamper, and her father, Professor Sakuragi (Cerise), who runs a laboratory in Vermilion City. It features all the regions that have appeared in the Pokémon games, from Kanto to Galar. Pokémon from each region will also appear while Ash is pursing Leon in the Pokemon World Coronation Series (PWC) and Goh is chasing his dream in Project Mew.

Wasn't expecting it to go on such a long hiatus, but these scripts have been getting longer and longer lately. Still, we're in the end game now and have some big events for these last few episodes

This was a really good episode it was nice also they caught to much legends in this vid, ash feels pretty left out from legends he he uhh very sad, ash vs raihan was great glad ash is now in masters 8, but bro I was very sad thwackey didn't evolve WHAD DA HECKS, over all pretty good 32/10

I am glad you did not change the Alola episodes; they are my favorite Pokemon episodes. Also glad you gave Leon and Calyrex some development that was not in the show.

I mean what I gave Leon was just added onto from canon. He has a bit of self doubt, but they only used it for one episode. I just took it, and combined the stuff from Calyrex's story in the games (since Calyrex didn't even show up in the original), did a bit of personal tweaking and there you have it

I'm a bit disappointed Ash wasn't able to catch any of the Crown Tundra legendaries, seeing how Goh had a legendary of his own. Heck, one woulda been perfect. Oh well, maybe another day. Plus, the whole story was just... **chef's kiss** Perfectisimo!

@@lunarskygacha9036 Well, he already has a Ghost type, a Steel type and a Dragon type, and I'm mostly trying to keep from doing type overlap. Sprectrier also wouldn't make much sense because it's more correlated with Calyrex, who I gave to Leon. Zacian would have to be really late into the rewrite, as the Darkest Day hasn't even happened yet, so it wouldn't make sense to give it to Ash now. I won't say it's impossible, but don't expect it to happen

The funniest part I find about journeys is that nobody looked into ash while he was in the world championship and didn’t find out he was a champion until he registered the title

Nice to see the return of this what if! Overall, I enjoyed this part. Ash vs. Raihan was great. I loved seeing Ash mix his reserves in with the Journeys team. It truly makes it feel as if this is the culmination of his journey up to this point by having everybody get involved. Torkoal and Noivern were fun choices as well since both get a bad rap for their poor battle records. Swampert, of course, stole the show with that final mirror coat. Nice to see the Crown Tundra be involved, and Leon character development was a welcome addition. Always felt like more could have been done with his character in the original so, nice to see you expand on the pressure he feels. It's interesting to have Leon catch Calyrex, I wonder what will come of that. The battle with the birds was nice. Good bit of development for sobble and Goh given that he can work with Gary now. Giving Ash a title defense match is a good idea since it allows Ash to still face Rinto while also not taking up a slot in the Masters 8. I DO wonder who that spot is taken by since we know Alain knocked Diantha out a little be ago.

So after watching this part, and it was a good one! Your version of Ash VS Raihan was good, and Ash using old mons was better, the Crown Tundra story was awesome, I wish something like this happens in the official anime. Leon getting Calyrex was shocking so as Goh, Gary and Tokio getting the 3 G Legendary Birds, but Sobble finally evolves in this series (Even tho it’s the endgame of the series) and the Regigigas at the end of the Regis portion, makes me hoping that the Goh’s finale arc would done justice, the Alola episodes is of course a must, the 2 of them are way too good to be taken away Also, Ash will be battling Into before getting into the M8 for real? Really looking forward to it. Overall, solid part! Part 23 will be a good one for sure.

if you can have the battle be at pallet town. i think it would be great for all those from ash's home town to see him in action and to make his home town proud along with his pokemon their to cheer him on.

I absolutely love this. The way you describe what’s going on it’s like watching it on tv. Ash vs Raihan, i loved he was rotating his team and Swampert development love it. Crown Tundra freaking excellent and the fact that Leon has Calyrex, omg. Project Mew is so much better in this series. And finally Ash vs Rinto, I’m so ready to see. Please let it be a full battle. Great job again and looking forward to the next part.

Great episode. Big fan of your what if series. This may hint for the next episode that Ash will face Rinto in Alola, where the world will finally learn that he is Alola's first champion and Ash learns to handle his newfound fame both as champion and as a member of the Master's Eight.

A lot happened this part, and I really liked the way that you handled the Crown Tundra and the Masters Eight! Ash's battle against Raihan being a Double Battle format was something we should've got in the real JN without a doubt, Ash almost never does Double Battles so it would be interesting to see how he would've adapted The buildup of Leon's doubt in himself throughout this part was fantastic, and his conversation, and eventual catching, of Calyrex was unexpected, but definitely welcome It's nice to see Project Mew progressing, and it's nice to know that this time, the Regigigas battle won't just be ignored like in canon, because they baited everyone so hard by putting it in the opening and at the end of the Crown Tundra episode Another curveball was Rinto being his challenger to the Masters Eight. I like how you actually made him a rival, and not just a one-off character, and I also like how you made Ash enter the M8 early, so that he could defend that title before going into the Masters Tournament Really liked this part, and very excited to see more!

One of the things I felt was needed for this series was Ash having actual rivals. Bea was fine in the original, but I felt she could take a different role as her original one as a rival didn't last long. So I gave Ash three separate major rivals in Bede, Rinto and Iris as each I felt could be interesting characters to have compete with Ash

I really enjoyed this episode. The crown tundra arc was really great and i really liked how go got into project mew. Great to see you use brandon for the regi part, makes sense. And i am looking forward to the battle between ash and rinto. How many parts are left would you assume?

Ash beating legends is cool and all but i feel like a legend v legend battle would be ebtter to show that he has grown to the point where he cant even befriend and command his own legendary pokemon

@@VoltLuke1 Alright, that's what I figured. Well, Ash does officially own a Legendary and a Mythical. Despite not being caught, Solgaleo is classified as under Ash's ownership since he was the one to raise and take care of it, rather than it just being with him for a very short portion of the show. Larvitar is in the same boat in canon as well. I do understand the want for him to actually catch a legend in this. Many people want me to write that. Maybe some day, but I won't make any promises

@@VoltLuke1 Pikachu has the most wins against legendaries of the entire series. Charizard beat an Articuno. Sceptile finished off a Darkrai and caught up to a Speed form Deoxys. Talonflame, Hawlucha and Noivern have all faced the legendary birds and held their own. Melmetal is a Mythical. I'd say Ash has plenty of mons that can handle Legends, and that's only naming a few

I am disappointed in this episode because you said ash was the main focus in the crown tundra like goh was in the isle of armour but Leon and goh.both overshadowed him which really upset me because you made me really like goh but this really was not good but the riahan battle was pretty good

Electro There is no stakes for the title defence match against robot becuAse he has been hyped up to face Leon so we know he will definitely beat rinto and if not he will come back very quickly and beat rinto to eventually face leon

So you're just ignoring the fact that he said this is the last battle before the Masters 8 Tournament? Besides, even if he does win against Rinto, that's just the finishing of a rivalry arc. If the battle didn't happen, there wouldn't be a conclusion to the rivalry
