While I agree with your overall conclusion, I have a different interpretation to the 'lightly exercises his power' line regarding Jiren. I don't think they meant that while lightly exercising his power he surpasses the gods of destruction. What I think they meant was that his full known power surpasses the gods of destruction, and that while fighting SSB Goku, that's Jiren lightly exercising his power, ie: half-assing it because Goku hasn't shown himself to be worth the effort.

I’ve never seen a more concise and articulate explanation of just what kind of beast Jiren actually is, seriously. People way underestimate Jiren just because he only appeared for one arc and has since not been shown again. People always come to Beerus’s defense with statements like “wae hAveNt sEeN HIs fULl pOwER”. His full power doesn’t really matter when someone like Whis (which washes Beerus easily) makes a statement that gives a pretty good idea of how strong Beerus really is

I feel like most of the time when people bring up Broly in vs battles they kind of ignore how fast he went from like, near raditz tier to stomping goku and vegeta until they ran away so he could bully gold frieza for an hour. I don’t think that he presently outclasses Jiren, but mister universe 11 would have to wrap things up fast to keep Broly from just getting way stronger.

Anyone else love Broly and Jiren ? They both are super busted and you don't have to hate on Broly just because you like Jiren or vice-versa , Broly being a legendary saiyan has insane adapting powers but can't control it which makes his power arguably the most destructive in the entire serires , while as Jiren has perfect spirit control and Ki control and all that power in reserves , like Broly / Goku need a trigger to reach thier max form (Ui / Lssj) while as Jiren has all that power ready , he can tap into it whenever he wants , he can literally enter a form that rivals MUI . Nonetheless i hope that after the Moro arc , they give us Broly and Jiren fanservice and also Vegeta going to U6 to planet sadala .

Broly learns as he fights, if his first confrontation with goku and vegeta wasn't a thing and he would fight jiren then he would win, however after that fight I think he's trying to control that power and may even surpass it while fighting jiren.

You know what the most insane thing is about these two? Neither of them have god ki, they both have regular power that can be felt by anyone who can sense ki signatures, which means that if either of these two were to attain just god ki, it would make them near unstoppable, more so than they already are.

One other thing people fail to realize is that Jiren is going to be training even harder after the Tournament of Power because he wants to fight Goku again. Jiren could possibly even start training with his Angel (Marcarita) to attain God Ki and possibly even Ultra Instinct. While Broly will probably take a Year at least to control his rage and learn how to transform at will.

A couple points I think should be added were, 1) the waifer sticker can mean Beerus has the highest battle power of the GoDs, and not be the physical strongest..this correlates with the arm wrestling trope. Just becuae you bench press more than me does not mean you will beat my ass. 2) The mortal rumor is the ultimate piece of evidence for Jiren > Broly. A downplay I see a lot is that Whis was referring to Jirens max and not his power in the struggle. However, this cant be true, because Beerus says he cant believe a mortal had this much energy when Jiren squares off against base Goku. Also when he knocked out Kale and Maji Kyo, Whis made no mortal rumor comments. Therefore the power Jiren used in the genki Dama struggle was what actually surpassed Beerus. But as I said man great video. Most people say Broly becaue of how he survived Gogeta Blue who numerically is strong as hell, but the narrative suggest otherwise. The narrative suggest Jiren is way above GoDs where as Broly is still comparable to Beerus. Yeah there's no question that Jiren greatly outclasses Broly in power. Where Broly wins is that he has more stamina and can last in longer fights than what we saw Jiren do with an equal opponent or an opponent stronger than himself. I think this fight really comes down to whether Jiren takes broly out before Broly starts to catch up on how he fights and starts matching him. Broly would have one hell of a wall to climb but I could see it happening in the right circumstances. Not every fight can be won with pure power alone. Jiren sat around for like 40 minutes before tiring out almost completely within the final minutes of the tournament where Broly fought both Vegeta and Goku before they went to fuse and failed it twice. Broly was rampaging in his super saiyan state for at minimum an hour from Goku and Vegeta failing the fusion dance twice. This is still one hell of a good feat for frieza to survive all that. People greatly underestimate how much Frieza can actually take.

I think what the fight comes down to is Broly’s potential versus Jiren’s power. Broly starts out at below base level Vegeta, and through fighting (not even training) over the course of roughly 1.5 hours, he gets up to abt base/ssj gogeta, which is a HUGE power boost given the circumstances. Meanwhile, Jiren, from start to finish, is stronger than everybody, but only powers up in his awakened form at the very end of the TOP. We see him get stronger, sure, but not nearly as much as we see Broly grow in the movie. I think if Jiren takes it seriously from the start, he destroys Broly, but if he does what he did in the tournament and holds back his full power until he needs to use it (and allows Broly to get stronger and stronger during the fight), then I think it’s fair to say he has a chance of getting outclassed by Broly, especially considering Broly accessed new transformations in the middle of battle, and could very well get full power ssj2 or above during the fight. Feel free to tell me what you guys think, I’ve had this thought brewing since the movie came out

As someone that was never a fan of Jiren, I hate to agree with this, but I really can't fault any part of your reasoning here. That said, I think Broly's greatest strength is that he can can grow his power during a fight faster than anyone else in the franchise. So, if he and Jiren did some intense training together, I think that Broly could catch up to Jiren's max power quicker than Jiren could grow his. At that point, Broly would easily be the top mortal in the Multiverse, and possibly the strongest being period with enough Angel training. But, as you said, that would require a mastery over his rage that he currently lacks.

There's actually something to take note of here with goku & vegeta that may clarify a few things, and that's the style of these warriors: Goku is more technical, whereas vegeta is a raw power type. Goku has focused not just on getting stronger, but learning various techniques and fighting capabilities. While vegeta sought ascension, goku perfectrd super Saiyan, and in the otherworld learned ssj3. He can also perform many of the z fighters techs & kaio ken, which he stacks onto his god forms, & even gets ultra instinct. Vegeta on the other hand, barring when he learns spirit fisdion, basically sticks to his own attacks for the entire series, but focuses purely on strength. He's intelligent enough to know what the pros & cons are to any form, hence why he followed up in kakarots footsteps by also mastering super Saiyan forms 1 & 2, but also once he discovered god ki, basically decided to push super Saiyan blue to new heights, despite seeing goku use ultra instinct. Goku has to be ahead of vegeta most of the time, because without a decent rival to motivate him, vegeta himself wouldn't get stronger. Goku is not an adversary to overcome, but literally like a best friend. A brother even of sorts as his character develops, & this makes goku being stronger Actually not such a bad thing. There's brief moments where vegeta may skip ahead, but the dynamic with him chasing after goku kind of helps this series along. That being said however, he's grown strong enough in his own right, & by no means plays second fiddle to goku anymore. Heck even whis notes that these two could accomplish wonders together should they put their differences aside, & this makes them arguably the best anime team in existence. Now... If broly, a guy stronger than both, were to make the duo a trio... Heaven help the dragon universe 😲😁

I think a few people are confused with broly’s power, broly’s ssj form isn’t normal ssj it’s mixed with his ikari form and the green hair form isn’t LSSJ it’s full power ssj ikari or limit breaker ssj ikari.

Thoughts before viewing: Jiren absolutely obliterates him. Broly was said to be “maybe” as strong as Beerus. Jiren was outright stated to be stronger than all the Gods of Destruction. 2/10 difficulty.

I definitely agree that Jiren is stronger, but Broly has enough potential to surpass him. Jiren received his strength from year of training, while broly in his first fight ever with anyone but his dad or a beast, with limited fighting knowledge, tops both goku and vegeta.
