My N'gathrod deck is probably my favorite and I'm from Pittsburgh, which features a local accent that pronounces horror and whore pretty much identically. It's just a hazard of the creature type.

If Veen had used the 2nd copy enchantment to copy his Privileged Position, I think he would have been able to stick around longer. Kuro wouldn't have been able to pick apart his permanents.

Zedruu the Greathearted, Blim, Comedic Genius, and Jon Irenicus, Shattered One, for sure. Last one is harder choice, Slicer Hired Muscle, Norin the Wary or Ian Malcolm, Chaotician would all be decent. Veggie already has Zedruu and Airball has Blim so half way there.

I believe Nate can't get his assassin back after he's in negative life totals because he's no longer allowed to pay life. If Nate didn't have another trick addition to Vendetta I think Veggie rightly wins the game.

This was played correctly, I designed Nate’s deck with this in mind! Rule 107.1b says the negative life payment is replaced with 0, and a player may always pay 0 life.

Future sight states " as though it were in your hand" and does in fact, work with Omniscience. Also, Mirrari's Wake gives +1/+1 to all creatures... so 5/5 angels lol ( not that it matters when normal damage doesn't apply to the game)

It's interesting to me that Veggie built a Tahngarth voltron deck for a week when deckbuilding disincentivizes attacking or even needing blockers to be honest. It feels like this strategy would have been more suited to building Slicer. That said, interesting deckbuilding is interesting. A big part of the reason I even watch vods of Commander is for deck ideas.

@@Barturito In many, MANY cedh games, it does not. The caveat they used here needed to be more intense or there wouldn’t be enough deviation from normal games for it to matter. It felt like if they made starting life totals 39 instead of 40. Would that change things? Technically yes. Would it change it enough to be more interesting? Not even close.

I feel like Veen should of had estrid's invocation enter as a privileged position, so his permanents wouldn't of been able to be targeted. Love playing Enchantress so much that I refuse to play it in my current pod because I would be the target every game.

Great game, loved the decks, but sad to see it end in a misplay, as Garza's Assassin's Recover ability demands that life be paid, but rules state that you can't pay life you don't have. Thus, once 0 life was hit, Recover wouldn't work anymore. But other than that, great content as always !! Eager to see more.

So I have a Tuvasa deck, too. And of course, I have seen other Tuvasa decks. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE INCLUDE ACADEMY RECTOR! 😂 Enchantress decks don’t really sacrifice creatures much (or ever). The times I’ve seen it played in enchantress decks, it just sits there.

If not for the hexproof from the privileged position, I would have wanted to take advantage of the "I pay 4 life" since they are 5/5 creatures because of mirrari's wake giving them +1/+1... But it looks like they caught it before too many more game actions went by.

Is it there's no combat damage? Because there's lots of combos that happen with attacking.

With no combat or life loss a lot of combos wouldn't work. People are welcome to combo off if it mills someone or something like that.

Exactly. Doesnt matter if you have 1 or 10000 life, they just combo and deal "infinite." Makes it so the rest of the game didn't matter at all.

The theme of the game is in the intro to the video. Regular damage can not kill you. It is rule 0.

So idk if I like the idea of rule 0, life total doesn't matter. What's the point of attacking one another? Why even have an attack phase. Should have added the idea of attacking another player let's you draw another card for each hit. Making the game still matters when attacking. I understand that commander DMG is still a thing but still feels odd.

It makes it so you can not pay life. There are a few other reasons attacks can still matter.

I don't see the point of ignoring life totals and keeping commander damage. The best deck would be Black Reinmate with lost of life loss of life point costed cards - with an Alt win con.

The catch with that is that you cant pay life you dont have. For example, you couldnt just play your entire deck with Bolas' citadel because you cant pay life to cast spells when you're at 0 or lower.

@@battlebear7214 sure but you COULD play a lot of cards for free... similarly with life not really being an issue but commander damage mattering somebody could have brought Hatred & basilisk collar in a voltron deck. I agree it's actually kind of a dumb ruleset and sure they weren't going to game it like that but still... more interesting would be like what the MTG Goldfish guys did where you can ONLY win with "you win the game" cards, or alt-win conditions ONLY. It still runs into the problem of having creature decks be kinda pointless and everything is rushing to a combo... honestly commander is best when all 4 players pick a cool theme and strictly stick to it. Somebody play John Wick, somebody else go mono-red legends, somebody else picks kaiju, and the last person goes for something like Tomer's 6 drop deck.

I feel like veggie using commander damage isn’t in the spirit of the rule zero… they are all going for more creative ways that don’t deal with life total… commander damage is too close to life total to me! But it’s all good just my thoughts
