You have to understand the Mourinhos tactics are different to Ancelotti. Mourinho is a defensive style manager who plays on the counter attack with speed. This is why Pogba fits perfectly deep in the mid, when possession is won, he can play those direct long balls to the wingers or striker for an immediate counter attack. Pogba shouldn't be the one running up the field, he's a technical playmaker, not a quick attacker. Also there was already a target man striker up front, Ibra and Lukaku. Theres so space for Pogba to play an attacking role with Mourinho. Mourinho did what he could with the squad he had, I think he did really well.
