Prior to the final Smash Ultimate Direct I waited for a reveal trailer that began with I am All of Me showcasing Shadow. Also, throwing in quotes like "I am the Ultimate Lifeform!" I may not follow Sonic games like before but Shadow holds a place in my gaming heart. The blue/yellow/green alts could also reference Dark Run-type Chao. Shadow's spirit was one of the first that I enhanced. I can dream but sayonara Shadow the Hedgehog.

It pisses me off. They deliberately didn't show Shadow off at all until the very final direct. That plus I thought Knuckles would take his place. There goes the two characters with the highest chances besides like Tails or Eggman.

I think shadow’s down special should be a counter where he uses chaos control to slow down his opponent similarly to bayonetta or shulk

Actually the light speed dash was in Sonic Adventure 1, you get it by following Sonic's story which will at one point bring you to the sewer where you can obtain it. Unlike in Sonic Adventure 2 however the light speed dash required Sonic to charge it by charging a spin dash until it activates.

Neat move set dude, all I would really want changed is the homing attack. This isn’t specifically about shadow, but it sucks having a homing attack with long startup, long end lag and it does minimal damage. I’d change it to where it could hit multiple fighters, but that’s just me. But overall nice video 👍

Me: Here's a really funny one. What if Slippy was in Smash. Fans: He'll be just another Fox clone! Me: Let's me explain first! There's more in the Star Fox series than people think outside of the arwing and landmaster. The weapons in Star Fox Assault and Slippy's mechanic equipment like a wrench used in some of his renders could add in more to Slippy's more interesting side, despite getting insulted and panned by many. I know Krystal is the more likely choice and believe me I want her in and playable so badly, but why not add in more Star Fox characters that can hold their own. Plus why not make something on the spot to make the characters a little different.

I agree in some areas but: U-Air can be like captain falcon but his shoes will burst in flames NAir- I have both, it can be Shadow air attack seen in Shadow The Hedgehog or a three hit moves seen in 06. Maybe both can works if you hold or tap the button it will be the spin and if you press the button multiple times you can do the three hit combo F-air can be sonic spike in Sonic Battle of how sonic stole shadow d-air so shadow can steal his D-down could be another spike move by his hover shoes Up B could be his teleportation like in Sa2 and Shadow the hedgehog. Like mewtwo but you can still attack to follow up in combos I like ya down b idea. I thought it can be like witch time by the chaos control, it can be chaos overdrive seen in Sonic 06 to deal double the damage for a short period of time or spin dash but not spin charge Chaos spear can stun enemies shown in sonic 06

I'd honestly be fine with Shadow being practically identical to Sonic, with 3 exceptions 1. All of the moves he rips from Sonic have jet flames added. 2. His dodge is a quick and simple chaos control that functions similarly to Mythra's. 3. Down B is a Chaos Move of some kind. Side B has the most in common with 3D Spin-Dashing and Shadow is a creation of the 3D era, he doesn't need Down B Spin-Dash.

I love this! I think for alternate palettes, one palette could be him red with yellow stripes as a reference to Omega, and one where he's white and his chest fur is pink to imitate Rouge, since they're a trio! I love the Mephiles palette. Man, now I want Shadow to be in smash- it just makes so much sense! (though if I had to pick Eggman would be my first choice, of course)

Yo this was a GREAT vid man you really out did ya self, I've been waiting for someone to make a Shadow moveset and not a 'Sonic clone' cause besides him and sorry those are really my dream picks for Ultimate. I would suggest tho for his down air you should it should be slower slower then Sonic's for start up but he'll also swing his leg around in a Capoeira like kick motion that can hit and potentially combo, then as he descends if he hits a enemy he'll blast them with feet and at high damage it can spike. Either that or it's like Sonic's but it doesn't spike so you could get back airs or other combos as his dive kick cuts right through you

I want shadow he has so much Material for his Move set they could use his chaos powers for example Sense most DLC characters has power bars Shadow could have a Chaos power bar he would charge the bar by getting hits but when the bar is full he can set a Devastating attack chaos blast I don’t want it to be to powerful tho because then it will start a lot of Complaining. For his up B he could Teleport for his side B he could do chaos spear for his down B he could charge his chaos energy or something or do a down smash. For his A moves they could take most of his moves from sonic battle. And for his final smash he could turn super shadow most likely it will be just sonic’s but I hope not but my vision is he would go super then it will go to a cut Scene shadow will teleport to space and chaos control the ark on the player the damage will do about 42 damage because that’s how much it usually is. For his Taunts he will Either just show the chaos Emerald Etc. For his victory poses maybe they could take inspiration from his poses from the games or just rip them from the games. For his speeds he would be the same speed as sonic. Edit I changed my mind about the down B it should be spin charge and for his B move it should be the homing Attack He should have some similarities to sonic But if I’m gonna be real it would probably just be a Reskin.

I had my own moveset idea for Shadow. Nuteral Special: Chaos Blast. It can be charged. The longer the charge the more powerful. Side Special: Chaos Spear. When charged it can go far. Up Special: Black Tornado. From Sonic Heroes. Anyone caught in the tornado will go up with Shadow. Down Special: Chaos Control. It will work like a counter and the opponent will be stopped in time for a few seconds. Final Smash: Super Shadow. He turns super and dashes forward. Anyone caught will be put in a cinematic of Shadow removing his inhibitor rings and giving a full powered Chaos Blast. Or if you want. Have the dash hurl them into space to be blasted back down by the Eclipse Cannon on the ARK.

You know something i have noticed with shadows physical moves is that they seem to primarily be karate chops or round house kicks and only rarely punches Just something i noticed and am curious about why that is

Ok i do like this one. It does help him feel more unique.

Cool moveset, also add on the spin tornado for Shadow's down tilt if you keep pressing the button. For home stages for Shadow, Gun Fortress with the Diablon,and Radical Highway or maybe some space stages.

For the final smash make it so if the opponent is killed over 100%, make it so its a custom victory screen like Joker's final smash.

Down B should be Chaos Control, the time stop version. They can either freeze the opponent completely or.... Slow them down kind of like Bayonetta's Witch Time...

I just saw your "addressing the issues" video where you touched upon how many people commented teleporting should've been Shadow's Up-B, but if I may be so bold as to suggest a third option: Since Chaos Control is Shadow's signature technique, why not make that his Neutral-B? There could be some complexity to it where just tapping without any directional input makes Shadow teleport to the nearest opponent, making it sort of a psuedo-Homing-Attack where the player would need to manually follow-up with an actual attack for damage, and inputting a direction immediately after Shadow disappears would allow you to pick a destination, potentially to escape from danger reposition for a combo, or whatever. And of course, keeping the hold for miniature Chaos Blast functionality you described; that just sounds awesome. The only reason I suggest this change is so that the move Sonic and Shadow still share is the Spindash for Down-B, which just kind of feels like such a franchise-iconic mobility tool that every Sonic character should have. That, and hearing Kirby say "Kayoo... CANTRO!" to mimic Shadow shouting "Chaos Control" during teleportation just seems too adorable to pass up!

I'll be honest, Shadow peaked in '06, character-wise. It was all downhill from there - and also before, somehow, since Shadow The Hedgehog came out before it. I hate how his current portrayal practically inverts his original character. 5:40 You're comparing yourself to The Grabs? Ha! You're not even good enough an alt!

For the down kick, it’s a reference to the stomp from sonic unleashed which came o it the same year.

Who knows maybe he could be around in a future dlc pack
