I'm planning to switch to bonds. I have only been doing ¢rypto but I believe bonds have way less volatility. I don't get so much from the videos online🤦‍♀🤦‍♀. I'll need some guidance

Volatility is where the money is. why would you want to switch to bonds? You are probably doing something wrong. Since 4 years I started I've been able to complete my mortgage, and buy my dream car. Though I did it with the help of Debra Pace.

perhape a segment called " what we know now" where you can pull up your last vid of a stock, like intel for example. go over your last call and see why it was a win or a miss so you and your viewers can learn not only the nuts and bolts of stocks but the psychology of it as well. idk, could be interesting and no one else does it.

It be great if you could cover I - bonds, as apparently they yield from 7 - 11 %, which is a great return. If you could do a video on the risks involved with I - bonds, and everything to know about them, it be greatly appreciated.

People can't get 11% on I bonds anymore that was only if you managed to grab them when they were giving 3.6% + inflation 23 years ago (which was a great base rate for guaranteed income but still far less than what you'd get in any growth, total market, or S&p500 over those same years). The FED is also focused on quashing inflation right now so your best yield will be 6.89% and will only decrease here on out. Add in the fact you lose the last 3 months on interest if you withdraw the money before five years (which is certain to happen if you are chasing the highest yield and the FED brings the rates down to 1-3% inflation like they want to) making it just an average investment return right now. If you could have got in back when it was 9.6% then that would have been good, but you'd be better off locking in long term 4% - 5% treasuries/CDs/bonds right now if your goal is guaranteed safe income. The boat for converting investments to I bonds sailed between the whole stock market peaking and inflation peaking

could you make a video about Bond ETF, that is a good investment in this current market
@LearntoInvest
@LearntoInvest Жыл бұрын
Nearly all bond etfs are going to struggle with rising interest rates, once it seems that rates will head lower again, then bond etfs should be great. I think it’s much safer to consider buying the bond itself; then holding until maturity and take the gains 😀👍

So if the coupon is lower than the yield to worst/ yield to maturity then that means that the bond is being sold for less than the initial purchase?
@arthowardmedia
@arthowardmedia Жыл бұрын
If I understand right, yes, because time has passed and you're going to be missing a coupon payment due to the fact you didn't own the bond when it happened.

i would probably agree, though I do think they are viable if needing fixed income/low risk in your portfolio for someone that is in/near retirement. But yeah, if you have tons of years left, stocks may be better.
