What is Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia, Dyspraxia and Dysnomia?

WHAT IS DYSLEXIA, DYSGRAPHIA, DYSCALCULIA, DYSPRAXIA, DYSNOMIA: Ok, I know that I was very confused about all of these D's. Have you ever wanted to know what they meant and how they connected with ADHD?
Patty DeDurr is a physical therapist’s assistance. She is also an advocate and a new author. She has been diagnosed with ADHD about 20 years ago.
She talks about dyslexia, dysgraphia, dysnomia, dyscalculia, and dyspraxia. She talks about what are the differences are and from a high level what can people do to help with these different diagnoses.
In the future, I plan to get into more detail of each, but I wanted to provide you what in general each of these means.

My dysnomia shows when writing a paper…., I have to record what I want to say and then type it ….what is in my head will not transfer to writing and typing …. I have masters degree in education and this has worked for me

When I was in school I suffered a lot because this stuff was not recognized yet. I am now 68 to give you some reference.

I'm so glad I ran into your videos again. I'm definitely going to turn on notifications. I enjoyed this break down! I did notice something, could you ask your guests a question for the perspective an adult who's connecting the dots for the first time and what it might manifest as. Next, the advice given isn't very accessible to all parents----- not everyone can afford these tests or take 2 days off work; what beginning steps can parents take at home? What's some distinct marker a parent can see so that they could at least narrow it down. (The latter is discussed by the two of you, I would love to see more in your next videos. Also, you breaking up your future episodes to break down each D makes absolute sense. It makes sense why this video didn't go long. )

I am 58 years old and am just now learning about the D’s . I’m glad I found this video. The more I learn about the Ds the more I understand myself and my life long struggle. I have all the D’s. It validating and healing to be learning this now. Thank You

I recently learned the word “Dysgraphia” and something in me broke a little. I didn’t know the word until a week or so ago but I have suffered with it my entire life(I am 30). I have managed to make my handwriting legible (so long as I don’t write to quickly) through years of deliberate practice, but it is still far from elegant. The other symptoms of dysgraphia I have had far less success in remedying. So I know what it’s called. Now what?

Someone tells me why I’m having extreme difficulty in writing and expressing my thoughts 😭 I’m literally having arrhythmias because of the stress I go through when having to right a paper. I tested for dyslexia and I don’t have it. I also never had problems writing or reading when I was a child. I’m literally struggling through college and I have no excuses for the professors. I’m 22 and English is my second language. I have ADHD and possible autism

I'm in my 40s and definitely have dysnomia. When you talk about the treatments though... the problem (at my age) is that I still say the wrong words. I know the difference between a mirror and window. But I mix those two words up and say the wrong one 90% of the time. I feel like I say that one wrong MORE often because I am aware of the problem. My point though is that I don't feel there is anyway to "fix it". I just accept it and make jokes about it, so people are aware. Is that a cop out on my part? I do correct myself, most of the time. "Don't forgot to put your bowl in the washing ma... DISHWASHER!" :P

If you only have one issue you can still life fulfilling life and so I wouldn't worry about it. I have 7 things and so I am stuck.
