I am an athlete and always will be - it's in my blood. It was trying to connect to reaching goals post-college athletics and wasn't feeling the same fulfillment. After many years of searching, what I discovered was that it was because with spoart, I always started with a passion for the game. I loved working on the skills, getting better just to et better because I loved to play.
That's what fitness has been for me in a weird way and group fitness has taught me so much more about life than I ever anticipated. And the lessons have nothing to do with calories, the way I look, or the size pants I wear. The lessons fill my soul, challenge me, make me judge myself and have to figure out WHY I am judging myself, forces me to slow down, speed up, change directions, etc.
Group Fitness is a microcosm for life, and the key to success? SHOW UP.
