The Doctor's personality and mannerism changes after each regeneration are drastic enough to consider the regenerations as though they are death/reincarnations; most peoples from most of the world through history would identify with Tenants view on the process. Smith's perspective divorces himself from the Doctor he was and viewing The Doctors throughout time as a singular timeless entity is fine from the observers chair but its a viewpoint trivializes and steps on the peoples emotional attachment and connection to specific Doctor incarnations. Jadzia Dax is not Kurzon Dax and Ezre Dax can never hope to be either Kurzon or Jadzia. And it's why Obi Wan Kenobi wasn't lying when he said Vader killed Anakin Skywalker. Smith's interpretation could be used to view all life on Earth through eternity under the umbrella Solaris impact and effect on the universe as all things here were created by and will eventually be reunited with Solaris and will cease to be as it does. And all the children of the big bang will all be reunited eventually when the big bangs black hole recollects everything it once created. Possibly resulting in 2nd bang and repeat for nigh infinity though most probably eventually ending as all perpetual motion machine attempts end 🤡 Being one with the universe and being and existing as a person within the universe are mutually exclusive and no Buddha or Guru yet has opted to stay in Nirvana all come running back to being someone now until death reclaims them for the everything. And looking at the Doctors generations as individuals would allow me the pleasure of selling out the 13th to Dalek kill squad without feeling like I would be betraying the heroes that were the 1-11th Doctors. And it allows me to condemn the 13ths betrayal of everything The Doctor ever was instead of having to just accept 13's dreck as The Doctors just going through a phase Like, please try to be immortal so you can wait out these terrible twos type centuries and wait for maturity to catch back up to him👁️‍🗨️

I am so glad that longtime Doctor Who fans worked on this project! You can tell by some of the older iconic episodes referenced. I've been watching Dr. Who since I was a kid (Robot was the first one I saw) so this is a real treat for me! Thank you for your passion and I can't wait to get my cards!

The Prof did such a fantastic job that surely someone as connected as you Gavin could get him an uncut sheet so he could display all those beautiful Sagas and other cards framed on the wall of the college and in the background of all his future videos.

I love seeing you and Brian together, and watching you both geek out over something you are both so emphatically in love with is super fun and extremely wholesome! @@TokenBG seems to have done a 180 on his disapproval of UB and the Fortnitification of Magic. And given WotC appears to have reversed his blackballing as a reward, I expect a lot more positivity from him re: UB moving forward.

At the same time it kind of sucks that premium treatment skins from extremely overpriced card game lootboxes built to prey on whales and people with gambling addictions are just something we accept now.

@@ImrahilToChaos it's the same idea fundamentally as cosmetics for PvP videogames, they don't affect the play experience in any unique way and are an alternate form of revenue for the company producing them. its a win win for both the company and players because the players can opt out with no downside and the company can make extra money.

@@xtensioncordtv1969 Lootboxes are unregulated gambling and are not a ‘win’ for the consumer ever. Special treatments you can only get via extremely expensive boosters or an inflated secondary market encourage a gambler’s mindset of ‘winning’. For the price that these boosters go for, that’s downright amoral. This was mitigated massively when rare cards only got as hard to get as a rare in packs, but WotC have over the years broken down the barriers bit by bit to monetise whaling. Please stop defending lootboxes.

This is where I hope they push the collectability more and more over time. Make the mechanical cards cheap and easy to obtain, while the "cosmetics" are what you sell to the collectors.

They’re still making monetised gambling boxes for it, so I’d say that until they stop universes beyond will remain being just another means for GW to whale hunt.

@@ImrahilToChaos I mean they literally stop the idea of gambling when you can just buy the entire deck and all its cards for £45 a pop no gambling needed but if you want to indulge in alt arts and foils for cards you don't normally foil this is great, I feel like you just wanna be so cynical towards WOTC when this is the first time in a long time where a product clearly has lots of passion and design put into it and giving you more options of treatments and foils just buy the single

@@odysseus1828 There is no difference between that and normal sets where you can get regular cards without special treatments in regular packs and then get the special treatments much more easily and at greater frequency via the collectors boosters. I’m not being needlessly cynical, you’re just making excuses for 25 dollar+ packs of cards made to prey on those with gambling addictions.

Yeah, if only it was an MTG IP. Clearly WOTC needs a licensing deal to devote this amount of love to a set now.

Right. Same care with the 40k decks. But very disappointed on the commander decks with the standard sets love. I get they can’t put 40 new cards in each deck, but still it’s a big gap.

Jubilee was one of the first Who audios I listened to and it was amazing. I think I started there because of the first Dalek episode with Rose.

Doctor Who and the Pirates or the lass who lost a sailor has to be my favourite 6th Doctor audio. Colin Baker needs to sing more patter songs.

Yeah everything is in the precons, pretty happy with that decision even if I'm one of the magpies tempted to pick up foils from the collector product.

Yeah. It's 200 new cards total, give or take - 50 per commander deck - and everything else is reprints and/or alternate treatments.

@@ArmadilloAl The 'Blast from the Past' deck has a few very choice reprints in it, including Heroic Sacrifice and Three Visits, both of which fetch a decent price on the secondary market.

Especially on Nyssa and Romana II.
