Aralsk. It's a village by the Aral Sea. It takes more than 30 hours by train to get there. Very isolated and arid. Taught English there for two years. Kinda missing it actually.

Thanks @@nomad7480. 😊 I'm from the Philippines. I'm kind of a nomad educator. Right now I'm in Japan teaching English. Big difference from KZ as life here is more convenient. But I miss KZ terribly. You never run out of the unexpected over there. I was robbed by police. I was kicked out of the train for the having the wrong ticket and walked 3 hours in the steppes at 10PM in late winter. No lights. Just the stars Just to reach Kyzylorda, the nearest city. Japan is so organised and accessible that it somehow seems bland. Well, there's no perfect country. I like that you have so much courage to travel new worlds Nomad. Always put health and safety at the top of your priorities. Safe travels!😊

@@n.8224 hello. It's not hard to teach English in Japan but their attitude towards learning it is not helping their situation. Most of them feel they DO NOT NEED English. They study so they can work or eatablish a career or a livelihood in Japan. Also, somehow, there is this fear that if they completely immerse themselves into learning English it will undermine their thinking and identity as Japanese. All of this becomes a barrier. Although they are aware, very few realize and understand the role of English in building international relations. Many of them just do not want to have anything to do with foreigners as much as possible. Very few even consider travelling! Everything they need is in Japan. It's a bubble of some sort. Many English teachers especially the older ones refuse to part with their old ways. So what can a foreign teacher do? They hire foreign teachers to execute what they want but hardly take advantage of what they can learn from them. How the system works is they teach English the Japanese way. Which means teaching the language in Japanese, teaching the uppercase and lowercase alphabets separately like their hiragana and katakana, making children memorize useful phrases in chunks the way they learn kanji, the list goes on. In my case, I give my utmost best to those who sincerely want to learn. I can only do as much to entice them to learn English but it's hard to effect change when of the mutual resistance to learning English. The Japanese English teachers have a very big role in convincing the kids to learn English. South Korea is doing a way job at this.

Это не пригород, не трущоба и далеко не самый опасный район. Не Ужет, не Калкаман, а Малая станица. Место, где начал свою историю город Верный, ставший потом Алматой.

Franky Frink Really????!! I can't believe it! A lot of singers and vocal coaches really admire his voice and the way he sings! A lot of people become full of emotions when Dimash is singing! It's not fair to say that at all. We know Kazakhstan because of him. This is a great job that he has done.

Да неее, у нас безопасно, особенно туристам. А вот мы, местные, можем хапнуть))) Конечно в любом уголке мира можно получить люлей или вовсе откинуться, но в целом в Алмате безопасно))

We had the same impression when I first landed in Nur Sul tan KZ, I heard that Almatty is more diverse compared to any cities in KZ. I was working in kz recently this year and visited the famous BURABAI LAKE.

You must have not gone into the city itself. Almaty is actually beautiful. I lived there for 6 years. You can go hiking in most seasons other than winter. Winter is the prettiest time and you can go skiiing. Presendent’s park is beautiful and very close to a mall called MEGA. Honestly, the city is amazing.

Потому-что люди живут в говне, там вроде прибрали и так сойдет🙄 Люди, которые ни к чему не стремятся, не хотят что улучшить, не хотят созерцать прекрасное. Застраивают город безкусными коттеджам в стиле 90-х.и думают это заебись. У нас люди живут с мыслью "ооо нам канализацию провели! Ооо у нас теперь унитаз есть". Тем временем во всем мире строят "умные дома". Весь дом управляется компьютером, а у нас до сих пор воду с колонки носят. И при этом наши люди думают что все нормально. Ебать что с вами не так?!

It was interesting to see the contrast between the quiet residential area and the more modern city center shopping area. Hi Jason! Kazakhstan is very rich in natural resources, but more than 80% of the population lives on the edge of poverty. With an average salary of $ 250, people can only afford to pay for rent and food. If you want to know the truth, go into the outback and see how people live there. This is real life in Kazakhstan.

@@bauerjan7887 В этом нет ничего такого. Если в вашей семье отец мудак который пьет и издевается над своими детьми и терронинизирует их, то остальные должны об этом знать. Так что думаю сравнение с семьёй некорректное.

Hey Jason. Kudos to you on your Kazakhstan clips! I like the simplicity of your vlogs. It totally works for me. I've had the awesome chance to see Central Asia last year on a solo journey, mostly Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan and a little short of 24 hours in Astana/Nursultan, Kazakhstan (still prefer Astana though). I've had some of the best memories there in all of my recent journeys and have since regretted not having ample time to see Almaty. After seeing this and your other Kazakhstan clips, I just know I will be back in the region for this beautiful city. I love the unique vibe, my experiences were positive and the people, amazing. Oh wowww.. U changed my view about Kazakhstan coz I thought it would be underdeveloped like Pakistan but it is so big.. Clean and green and beautiful and much developed with modern ppl than my country infact it's my type of place which I really loved.. 😍😍

@@saad12357 unfortunately, Kazakhstan is not clean and modern. At all. We're just poor post-ussr country with no resources and a lot of corruption. We have some beautiful nature or something but it's only in some regions like Almaty or Astana (i mean the lake Borovoe).

Kazakh men are most intolerant in world. I barely saved my life. Been to Almaty Uralsk and Atyrau. Got several warning and life threats. Worst ever experience.
