What is the best lubricant for a padlock?

There are many types of oils and lubricants out there and most people use WD40 or graphite powder but for padlocks it really is not all that good.
Here we look at 4 types that we have test to provide a descent amount of lubrication and also last a good while without needing to be re-applied.
Many totally seized padlocks will come back to life after a day or two after a good treatment with these lubricants.

I like Houdini lock lubricant because it cleans, protects, and lubricates locks.

WD-40 for cleaning and some dedicated lube after the lock has been wiped of .

3in1 will void the warranty when used on sewing machines, because it thickens up and becomes gummy after a year or so.

how about spraying wd-40 on a rag and wipe it on the outside of the

I use a lot of locks and used to poor in grafite...but now i have a litle spray of wd40 but then for locks instead of the blue cans. Makes it a lot easier
