In this video I’ll be looking at that molecule of life, DNA. What it is, how it works and how it relates to life itself. Let’s find out more.
DNA is a molecule made from 2 strands. Each strand is made from many many molecules called nucleotides. Each nucleotide is formed from a sugar molecule, a phosphate and an interesting molecule called and organic base. In the molecule of DNA there are 4 organic bases called Adenine, Thymine, Cytosine and Guanine, and each nucleotide could have any one of these 4 organic base molecules.
I this video I’ll talk about the structure of DNA and how it is used to make proteins. I’ll also talk about proteins and why they are vitally important in biology.

If we every find another type of lifeform it will be amazing to see how they pass information from generation to generation. I like these biology videos because I don't know too much about this stuff. Thx

Thank you very much. This is the kind of stuff that's very familiar to me (I teach biology). I am planning a series on genetics which I'm looking forward to. The way genetic information is passed from generation to generation is fascinating. I love DNA!!

In a single morning, I watched the best explanations of 1) sub-atomic particles, 2) orders of scale in the universe, and 3) the nature of DNA in genetic inheritance. All on this channel.

Subscribed immediately. The graphics are clear and understandable. I could understand how difficult to bring out a video of a complex subject in a lucid way.

I know everything here since I'm studying bio for my exam and I just had a doubt and when it was cleared it got me interested and watched the whole video; you're a really great teacher. Thank you, also that ending was very clever showing the scrambled words

Your videos are very informative. Could you do one about the Epignome and how it regulate our core DNA?

What do you animate your videos with?
@LearningCurveScience
@LearningCurveScience 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, thank you for your question. I use Blender to make all the animations. Some of them are fairly straightforward (like this one). Others (Like the Project Daedalus video) are more challenging and take more time
