Traction motor ki jaankari aapne bahot kam diya. TM ke baare mein bahot kuchh hai. Main agar poocchne jaun to list kaafi lamba hoga. TM body, bearings, windings in case of AC, armature in case of DC, Insulation class, gear type, cooling methods, grease or oil make and nomenclature, temperature rise, etc, etc. Please bayiye.

Please anyone post videos of problems of loco pilots on duty in loco cab, improper seat arrangements, speedometer, alerter, AC, horns inclosing nose compartments, failed door latches, unwashed lookout glasses, technical faults causing punishment to loco pilots, abnormal updated loco technology, different locations of parts in different locos, running room problems of unhygienic food, toilets, oldaged, outdated beds, bedsheets, nets, geysers, which will be more effective in also corrective measures will help efficient working for loco pilots. I hope all understood and will see videos in relation to this in future. Because all loco pilots are human beings only can't remember all trouble shooting s of dozens of different locos of ac/diesel.

Sir ,Why locomotive use traction motor. Why it is not directly using mechanical engine to transmit power to wheel as car or other mechanical engine vehicles. Would u make video on that.

To put it very simply, the Truck Frame (the full assembly the wheels, suspension, and traction motor are on) need to rotate freely. If you were to introduce a Drive-train from an engine to the wheels you would greatly reduce the degrees of rotation the Truck Frames can move from the already small amount they already have. One of the other reasons they use those instead of Direct Drive is in the name of those motors, TRACTION. It puts more control on acceleration and Pulling power when it comes to moving both the weight of the Loco itself and the Total weight of freight/Passenger cars. It also introduces many, MANY more points of failure on a Diesel Loco. hope this helps. By no means am i claiming to be an expert on Diesel Locos so this explanation is using my already limited knowledge, so there are better people more suited to give better explanations.

Its all about torque Mechanical engine has less torque than Electric motors. To drive a train with tonnes of weight you need large amount of torque
