I was married for 34 years to a good moral Christian man before he went to heaven.. my requirements was we agreed on the big things like Christian Faith morality, He was different than me, but I didn’t care about the differences. The little differences I want to make sure our worldview was the same and he also had to have character and integrity. His words matched his actions. American broke in fact I made more money than he did, but it didn’t matter because he was a good man. after we married I stayed home and had kids took care of all the household stuff and everything related to the kids while he worked and when he came home he had a very good organic healthy meal to eat. I had a big garden and I was involved in our Organic co-op long before Whole Foods. He never cheated. I never cheated because we believed the same thing as far as the Lord was watching us. And he made enough money and we had a small house used cars and that was fine. He did what he wanted to do and I could trust him because I knew him good enough that he would’ve never done like some of these men do cheat on their wives. he said he knew he wanted to marry me real quick well it wasn’t like that with me. I didn’t want to date him right off the bat but he just kept on so I decided I’d give him a chance but it took me a lot longer and eventually after year and a half, we got married. Sam, my requirements was not that he had to be over 6 feet or that he had to make a lot of money like some of the young women today that to me is unrealistic. Of men in fact people make less than 100 hundred thousand very few people make over 100 150,000. It’s best to look for the inner being of a person his character what he stands for because that’s what’s gonna last money can come and go and we all know that we all both get fat and skinny thru our lives.

Narcs don’t like boundaries, to slow things down you need to have consistent and solid boundaries. Narcs will get bored when they can’t force you into adoring them. Even people with just some narc traits will go away if you match them rather than chase and adore.. they can’t handle equal interactions for all that long. It creates too much insecurity for them.

I was in this situation with someone I was so called engaged to. He showed me his patterns lol. I ended it within less than the time allowed. We were engaged one year, been involved for two. Within that time I broke up with him once. He didn’t approach me at all. I made the mistake to call him, and he thought we could resume as if nothing happened. I became logical and just broke it off. This is what happened to me, except even quicker! He put a ring on it fast! Then, he wanted to immediately get married! When I wouldn't comply with the timeline, all the other behavior in the video came along... I was minding my own business, until he showed up! Then, he started love bombing me! I'm not desperate! It's over! I'm praying for your heart to mend. It is sometimes difficult to navigate your feelings without closure. Be grateful that you got out before you jumped the broom! I agree with your points but would like to add that some men say they are not ready for a serious relationship or not ready for the wonan not just because he does not want her it is to slow things down and give them more of what they do want which is SEX with NO strings attached. We have all these "good" men and wise women coming online sharing their knowledge and advice on how to avoid the predatory male, and now you have these women in their 40s and 50s who have fallen victim to those guys, and now they just want to be alone, or have no desire to even bother. Its sad what men do to good women who trust. Because even when you see what the male is doing, often a woman will still treat him like she wants to be treated until she's given all she has to give and decides to stop, but by then its too late. She's hurt, broken, in pain, and would just rather be single.

This is why it's so important to make a genuine, spiritual connection, and leave the physical for much later. A guy told me that, right after he sleeps with a woman, he wants her gone, unless he really really likes her, and has that connection! This makes me feel weird about men, and how they are wired. I don't chase men, or degrade myself. That's probably why I've had men pursue me persistently. Not all, but a good amount of them. If you tell a man that you are celibate, you will find out their true intentions pretty quick! Personally, if I ever date again, I'd like to be friends first, which is also tricky, cause men usually see women as sexual, and not friends.
