It truly is! I actually drew a painting just like this one back in high school. So cool to experience it in person.

My advice, while looking at the expanse of rice fields in the morning should be accompanied by coffee or warm tea and boiled cassava / corn ... please try it, you will definitely feel a peaceful and pleasant feeling like living in the countryside in Indonesia

We never miss an opportunity to have our coffees both in the morning and afternoon with this view! But we'll have to start including some cassava and corn with our drinks. Thank you for the lovely suggestion!

Hi there. Think you2 are very informative, and I will keep following. Q: do you prefer Ubud instead of Canggu? My plan is to retire to Bali in 2023. Thank you very much and warm greetings from Amsterdam.

Hi Ronald! I say we definitely prefer Ubud for that slow living, close to nature, spiritually connected life. Canggu has a more fast-paced, boutique hotels and high end beach bars. But we also realized that it isn't that far to travel from one place to the other. So we'd live in Ubud, and once in awhile have a weekend in Canggu! Retiring in Bali sounds absolutely beautiful!

@@steveandnadia thank you very much. Sounds as a good plan. I am not really a “beach boy” at my age (67) anyway but very attracted to your way of living, sun rise, walks, good food. I would trade in your working hours for reading hours. Stick around and we might meet some time next year for a talk and lunch is on me. Enjoy and stay safe.
