Show definitely gets more crap than it deserves. Finally gave it a try after ignoring it for so long thanks to the hate, and now it's become one of my favorite anime series. Not something I would have ever expected at one point long ago.

So just to make things make a little more sense without spoiling anything... They are different games and Seasons 1 & 2 are 4 story arcs total hence the diff OP's... Season 1 was Sword Art Online (SAO) and ALfheim Online (ALO) and Season 2 was Gun Gale Online (GGO) and back to ALO... Which should also explain SAO-GGO Alternative my fave OP of these is probably either OP1 SAO or OP 3 GGO

Season 1 and 2 only contains 3 and 2 sub arcs... not 4. S1 covers Aincrad and Fairy Dance while S2 features Phantom Bullet, Excalibur, and Mothers Rosario.

To explain the 2nd version of the “Mothers Rosario” opening, the girl with the purple hair and armor is a new character from that arc, Asuna joins her guild and the entire arc is mainly about Asuna and the new characters from the guild she joined trying to accomplish something while Kirito takes a back seat for a little bit. gun gale is a alternate version of sao, its different from the normal sao

Gun Gale Online is a separate game made by an American company. It’s not SAO.

I dont want to give spoiled about all the characters identity but im sure you guys will understand how the story goes and know all the characters if you guys watch the whole season 1,season 2,SAO Ordinal Scale Movie and SAO Alicization Arc(but this one is still on-going or maybe im just left behind a little bit) plus the Gun Gale online one was i think the side story of wats been going on in GGO since Kirito last been there and totally different main character but i think there still connection between this and SAO season 2....i hope you make reaction videos of every episode of SAO because im gonna be watching all of them🤗🤗🤗btw im your new subscriber

gun gale online is just a bit in to the future when they figure out how to make the VR stuff to not kill you not really tied at all except for a character that has one of the old headsets is also made by a different studio

basic understanding of SAO aincrad arc the head you have to wear to play SAO has micro wave transmitters in it, if someone tries to take it off it fries your brain you die in the game it fries your brain only way to survive beat all 100 floors of Aincrad ( the giant floating castle the first part of s1 of sao takes place in)

SAO wasn't the one that kick-started the Isekai popularity actually. it was a novel called Mushoku Tensei. it wasn't the first Isekai, but it was arguably, the most popular one of them all.

Wrong isekai has been around since alice in wonderland and the wizard of oz it literally just means transported to another world but the first main stream anime isekai is the dot hack franchise

can someone explain for reacting yotubers why they react without have prior knowledge of what's going on in the anime. like if you're reacting to something shouldn't it be something that you already know? like i just watched Sword art online in about a week (all of it thus far), but i had no knowledge of it beforehand just heard tiny bits of it, so i would never talk about it, because i didn't know it or seen any of it. basically why don't reacting youtubers just react to things they have seen or are knowledgeable on? just seems like getting attention, especially since sword art online's new season is soon. i'm asking, because i've seen other youtubers react and they were completely lost and i'm like why are you reacting then lol.
