Shloomy Shloms I bought fallout 76 and fucking regret it. What a shit game. I figured it was like any other fallout game with a cool story line and coop with your friends. They fucked up in a major way, The better route they should have taken was to make the game with a nice storyline full of NPCs, coop and servers, no leveled monsters, private worlds, build multiple bases or large bases.

Saika I got Skyrim a year or so after it’s release for Christmas and I remember playing it on my older brother’s Xbox 360 in his room and he bought this really nice smelling Glade air freshener called Cashmere Woods that he would spray in his room after cracking open the window and it smelled like cinnamon and pine so it would usually smell like that as I felt the cold wind come in from outside while I would play Skyrim which would really immerse me into the world. Now anytime I play Skyrim during winter I buy some of that air freshener spray it, open the window to let the cold air in, and I play Skyrim and it takes me back to being 11 years old and exploring Skyrim with that sense of wonder, awe, and peace that I had when I played it as a kid.

Had same feeling, 'wow' and just being overwhelmed by it-as well as wondering if I was even 'supposed' to be there 'yet'. Idc what everybody thinks, imo skyrim is the game of the decade in the 2010's. It's pretty obvious that even after almost 9 years, it is still significant and have outplayed games that are more recent than it. Edit: i know most of you would say witcher 3 is far better, and i agree with you. I played and love both games, witcher has better graphics, better story and prolly better overall, but skyrim has that magic in it that i can't explain. Even though i replayed witcher 3 several times, it still lead me back to skyrim and create a new playthrough that will somehow turned-out to be a sneaky archer. But tbh skyrim is one of those games that you'll always remember and never get bored replaying.

Witcher 3 is good for if you want to play an amazing story with incredible characters, but Skyrim is good for if you want to experience an awesome world through your own eyes. Skyrim, to me, remains better than the Witcher 3 simply because you can be anyone you want in Skyrim, but you're always seeing the world through Geralt's eyes in The Witcher.

@@elise205 agree, even though the witcher's story is great, you'll always be a 2 sword monster hunter. Unlike skyrim, you can be whatever you want to be, either a sneaky elf archer, dual-axed orc berserker, a healer magician breton or just simply play a normal nord dragonborn. Tsyuna Desu Skyrim came out in 2011 and has sold about 30 million copies. Witcher 3 came out in 2015 and has sold about 25 million copies so I'd say your claim is quite exaggerated. I'm also gonna go out on a limb and assume your kid. Skyrim is a simpler game that children can understand so I can see why it would appeal more.
@petergriffin1797
@petergriffin1797 4 жыл бұрын
@@codyvandal2860 I mean I understand your opinion the witcher 3 is a great game. But I must say skyrim is not a simple game. Sure some of its quest can be boring, but its lore is what makes it complex. the daedric princes, the dragon war, Alduins War and if we we're as to go as far as Elder Scrolls Universe Lore then The heart of Nirn, Sovngaurde and even Akavir. There is a lot more complexity to Skyrim then you think. Witcher 3 and Skyrim are both fantastic games and don't get me wrong the witcher has some good lore too. But you must consider that Skyrim is a 8 year old game the witcher 3 is a 4 year old game. So think about it this way skyrim is old and it stills has a massive following and you have to give it props for that. All in all These games are both great but it's quite dumb to compare the both despite the age difference so be more considerate even if this person is a kid or not

I'm constantly sucked into the elder scrolls universe, it's just so well written and rich with lore and potential. I recently wrote a whole small kingdom in the jeral mountains south of Skyrim, based in geothermic canyons, which my character, an imperial, Skyrim-born Dragonborn takes hold of and leads as king while preparing to take over the ruby throne via a siege. Even on the switch, the game is stunning and immersive, and because of this deep attachment and expectations, other games fail to impress me and hold my attention for more than a few months. Breath of the wild was amazing, but after a while the emptiness and lack of serious worldbuilding and deep character creation get old, the puzzles were fun but it's definitely not that replayable. If full dive and ai generated quests and the freedom to do whatever comes to the elder scrolls, I'd love to replay as a dragon soul-devouring badass who is able to make my written kingdom come to life.

That could be the easiest and hardest answer at the same time. When I first played Skyrim, it truly felt as if I was learning to live in that world. Each character had their own history, schedule, affinity towards the player... It was so rich in details that I just couldn't stop playing and going deeper in that lore. The immersion presented in that game is still unique in so many levels that even today it is a game that endured the test of time and still enjoyable. The easy answer? Because it was a game made to absorb the player and made them learn about the world. The more complicated answer: it just feels like you are living in the game and you don't even understand how that is possible.

Also, Witcher 3 is more talked about just because it was released 5 years ago and Skyrim 10 years ago of course Witcher 3 would be the topic of the RPG genre but I don't know man Witcher 3 is so forgettable even though I love it I have forgotten so many events and the DLC's are sooooo baaaaad I prefer the main story but oh well that's just my opinion

@@exiledcowboy298 I feel similarly, adding up the latest numbers on my different saves, it seems that I played Skyrim for 930 hours at least, I like it, but I didn't get further than the first few hours in the Witcher 3, I didn't like it.

I also loved how many ways there was to start a quest. It played towards everyone’s play style and made wondering so rewarding. It’s what makes me play ESO today. To scratch that itch.

When a game rewards grinding beyond getting stronger. Below is an actual experience when I was grinding dragon shouts. This is why I still love the game formula to this day. *go into my 54th random dungeon* I hope there is at least another evolution of a dragon cry down here. *see underground city with mech guardians* oh... oh shit.

tons of games have modders yet most arent nearly as big as skyrim is. skyrim at its base is still amazing game. no need to give modders all the credit lol

Jody Boles I strongly disagree on that. Base skyrim barely functions as a game with the nearly infinite bugs and their future games showed how much they relied on modders to fix things.

What made Skyrim such a huge release was the sheer scale of everything. It was a enormous map, i think the biggest at the time, with an insane level of detail and lore and depth to it. It really is another world! And mods make it better, yes but the mods arent the reason why were still playing it 11 years later.

What I love about the series is the fact that once the player has control, there's always something staring at you, beckioning you, "Hey, check it out. You know you want to see what mysteries lie within" WITHOUT forcing you to check it out. ES3: There's a billowing volcano rising above the landscape spewing ash over everything. ES4: See a ruins and feel compelled to explore it. ES5: There's a crypt high up on a mountain surrounded by clouds. Love the series, love the mystery.

@@insomniacbritgaming1632 Specially if u use graphics mods I use probably 200 mods on my Skyrim Special Edition and it looks really really good is not next gen graphics but is not far away sometimes u notice that this game is old sometimes the mods really help the game look awesome. With those mods I would say that the game looks like from 2016 or something like that not fron 2011 so it helped a lot ^^ The game definitely looks 5 years newer younger with those graphics mods I really can recommend u try mods out.

I can't really put it into words other than that once I got into Skyrim, the story gave me a sense of purpose within the fantasy world, which became my world. I had a role to play, a significant presence in the world of Skyrim that I never had in real life. Skyrim is addicting because it makes me feel like I actually matter, like I'm doing something that matters. It makes quite an impact on me.

That fact that it also is mean to be played in first person really put's you into the shoes of your character and helps engross you in the environment around you. I think it was smart that CD Project Red went this route with Cyberpunk.

I was not a fan of RPGs until i played Skyrim. The story and the big world and the interesting things in it is just wow. The fact that you can just be walking and some dude just comes out nowhere and it turns into a fight ia amazing. The fact that you can avoid fights or start fights is amazing. You play how you wanna play and literally go anywhere.

So true, it was like the side quests are the main quest and the main quest was the optional bonus. Still haven't beat the game or want to to even try to. There's so much to do, so much to learn its exhausting. So many hours spent exploring and dicking around I'd constantly forget what exactly was going on or what i needed to do to progress the main story.

At the time I was younger and it was really the first game I got appart from assassin's creed 2 that was "too old" for me to play, so it was really quite a monumental moment for me in my gaming "career" like alot of other people, that first step out of helgan was......just breath taking, I just knew that I was going to spend hours upon hours exploring and was so buzzing to get out there while also being so immersed by the world and story ❤️
