Messes up doesn't face any consequences. Like daddy aang fixes her bending after she cries for a few hours. The avatar spirit is literally ripped out of her and returns a while later due to plot. Aang was perfectly willing to let Ozai continue destroying the rest of the world because he wanted to “respect his Air Nomad teachings” and refused to kill him. He is absolutely just as bad as Korra

Ozai is a danger to the rest of the entire world unless someone deals with him permanently, yet Aang was willing to risk the lives of the entire Earth Kingdom to try and spare him because he couldn’t put his morals aside. If Aang failed to talk him down, Ozai could’ve killed him and the world would be even more screwed, unless Aang quit being a selfish cunt, got off his moral high horse and killed Ozai instead. But because Aang got lucky and found energybending he basically never learned why it’s wrong to prioritize his own desires over the rest of the world’s lives

Aang was worse lmao. His wouldn’t let go of his Air Nomad beliefs because of selfish reasons and it caused him to put the rest of the world at risk because he wanted try and talk Ozai down. If he didn’t have energybending and refused to kill Ozai, Ozai could’ve killed him, and the Earth Kingdom would be screwed. He was totally fine with letting the Earth Kingdom die if he failed to spare Ozai for his selfish desires. He absolutely only thought about himself

@@projectpems8304 Both of these are a major stretch. I agree that Korra is not selfish, but Aang isn't either. It's understandable that a normally peaceful person (especially one who is a literal CHILD) would struggle to actively seek out and murder someone. Aang was not "fine with letting the Earth Kingdom die". If that were the case, he would do nothing about it. If he never got Energybending, he likely would push past his morals and kill Ozai. Either that, or somehow get him dethroned.

Nah, it would be treason. At best, they’d send him to his father, where he’d be executed. Remember, Ozai burned a 13 yo badly enough to scar, just for talking out of turn. Stealing and then losing the Avatar from Zhao’s custody would be unforgivable to Ozai.

@@forkingsandkeys I understand. I have no doubt Zuko would be executed for treason, but by the authority of his father, not Zhao. Also, I theorize the real reason he banished Zuko is because he didn’t want him to become a martyr. He could argue that he was burned trying to defend new recruits from being used as sacrifices and that could turn public opinion against his father.
