I would get money management just in case. You’re only 55. I think the average life execting in the US is 77.5 years, but many people live well into their 80s so that $1 million has to last you all of that and the unforeseen. $1m is a great start though. Good for you!

They increase amount of shares because they bought VMware that was kind of monopoly in virtual machines. Also they finish a deal last year and they still have a free cash

Absolutely. Dell bought VMware and went back public and look what happened. They then let it go. Broadcom is not playing around. They have so much built-in money coming from VMWares market dominance. They changed the licensing too and even though customers are mad about it, they still own those customers because the alternatives of Hyper V and Nutanix is not what customers want.

I bought AVGO back in 2019 because of its stellar Dividend growth history, that had at the time a 4% div. yield and being one of the few tech companies that paid a decent div. The dividends were backed by sound business that kept growing. It was before the AI hype and I am not planning to sell it because the thesis still stands, I am sure they will keep pace on double digit dividend growth. I actually don´t care much about the stock price because I am not selling.

Maybe you said it, I didn’t hear it. Not all brokerage firms offer fractional share investing. This does allow those who were previously unable to purchase Broadcom to now do so.

Nothing wrong with stock splits. Look at the past 20 yrs and see who the better performer is between Broadcom and Berkshire. It’s not even close

Stock splits are better for the employee vested shares, as they sell 50% of the stock when vested to pay taxes and they always round up. If I have 3 shares vested, they sell 2 and I vest 1. With 30 shares, they sell 15 and I vest 15 shares.

Broadcom and Nvidia, a few others but those mainly, when they miss earnings or lower guidance even once, watch out. Idk what the reaction will be, wouldn't be surprised to see a 20%-30% pullback when it does happen though.
