But for my opinion they should be proud that Lisa represented that any person could have a oppurtunity to be a kpop idol no matter where they are from and who they are. @@Model_Roe Korean netizens have been the cause of many Korean celebrities suicides over the past decades. It's not so much that she's Thai as it's just the toxic culture of Korean netizens. It was so bad that their government issued identifiable internet ID's to their citizens in order to be able to partake in those forums. Korea itself has opened itself up a lot over the years and it's telling by how many foreign celebrities are now a part of their entertainment industry. A big part of that is due to Korea's own self-awareness of its shortcomings and their strides to fix those societal issues. They've come a long way, but still have a ways to go.

When BP first debuted and I knew nothing about the members at all, I just randomly chose Jennie as my bias because we have the same first name. But when I saw Lisa on YWY as a mentor I saw just how sweet, considerate, and bubbly she was. She's probably one of the most down to earth female K-Pop idols in the industry, most likely because she is one of the first SEA idols and faced more obstacles than the average Korean idol. I just sincerely adore her.

I’ve never really looked up to celebrities are found many true role models, but I can say so honestly that Lisa is one of my biggest inspirations ever. It started when I found out how amazing she is at dancing. I’ve always loved dancing and have been a dancer so I looked up to her a lot, and then once I found out more of how much worked she put into her dreams, I was (and still am) in awe of her. She is incredibly talented, hard working, brave, strong, beautiful inside and out and so so so much more! I love her so much and I wish nothing but the best for her🤍 I hope I can be like her someday :)

Whatever others may say about her being a thai, she is still qualified to be and be called an IDOL, A KPOP IDOL. Who's the worst member of BLACKPINK? Lisa Because she’s terrible for keeping her pain hidden away from fans and the other members. People constantly criticize Lisa for not being Korean; they bullied Lisa for having a darker skin tone during her trainee days and still bully her now for having a Thai accent when she speaks Korean. When Lisa was a trainee, nobody believed that she could make it because she was a foreigner. She missed her parents day and night and wasn’t even sure if she would be able to pass and get to debut. And yet she still smiles. She’s known as the royal maknae for being the goofball in BLACKPINK. Without Lisa is like a world without sunshine.

14 years in a different country, in a different culture, I can't even imagine what she went through alone, especially in the first months, imagine the teachers asking for dance moves and she doesn't understand anything. Honestly there are people I respect, but Lisa is someone I admire and love, it doesn't matter if she wants to leave everything or continue her singing career, I'll always support her, I'm proud of her.

Lisa, Bam Bam, Sorn, etc. deserve(d) better. Idk why there’s so much hatred towards non-Korean (or sometimes, non-Eastern Asian; Korean, Japanese, Chinese) idols. If they have the talent and their label believes in them, they should be able to debut and thrive. As long as they’re not actively pretending to be Korean and acknowledge that they’re not, I just don’t see what the problem is. Unfortunately, its common for idols from places like China, Japan, Thailand, etc to get hated on & mistreated more than Korean-born ones. But thats what we're here for.
