Stop saying they all sound boring, Danish people are usually very awkward. They aren't into strangers trying to start small talk or ask them a random deep question. I don't understand one thing. Ok you can't talk to the strangers but if you are drunk you can ask someone to have sex with this person? How strange is it? No talking to strangers but having sex with a stranger but with some alcohol involved??

I stopped whatching after "you're supposed to get drunk on the first date otherwise we won't talk." Yes, I only whatched the beginning and that was way enough for me. I feel sorry for that. I've spent one amazing week of my life in Denmark and found great people there, so no, I don't hate Danish people at all, on the contrary there's so much about their lifestyle that makes me like them more than my own people (Italians). I only hate the "alcoholic culture" there. Really... if you need alcohol to make friends, if you need alcohol to have sex or simply smile... that's sad. What kind of human connection is that?

As a dane I would say that much of this applies to the younger generations and mainly to more urban areas(This is for instance is shot in Copenhagen, the largest city in DK, where people are more 'free' in nature). Although the notion meeting someone while tipsy or in a social setting(out on the town) is pretty prevalent.

I think that 'sex before coffee' attitude is more about some young people not Danes in general. When I was younger, it was all about getting a bit drunk to get over inhibitions and I sometimes had the attitude of getting sex over and one with so we could go out. Now I realize this is not the way! That's just about a lack of self-confidence. If you do that as a woman, the man is not going to be as interested than if you wait a bit and let the tension increase. It just gives the impression you'd do that with anyone.

Something that I have noticed about Scandinavians is that they barely have an accent when speaking English, very cool.

Actually a lot of the young adults, teens and the ages in between are trying to make a different view, at the drinking culture that we have. We have campaignes, influencers and many young people trying to chance the view we have on drinking, like it’s okay to stay sober at a party, and it’s okay never even to drink, people are beginning to chance it, so it’s okay not to drink. Aaand you will still be accepted and 100% not judged. But again many does get a bit tipsy on the first date bc Danes are mostely really shy.

I am a danish guy, and Danish girls are insecure compared to girls from other nationalities. I have lived abroad, and dated girls from the US, and I feel like they don’t need to impress me. Danish girls want to tell you about all the cool stuff that they study or work with, straight from the bat, where’s the fun in that? I don’t get to pull the information out of her, so there is no real conversation. And don’t get me started when it comes to anticipation. After dating girls from different nationalities, I know that anticipation is everything; leaving space for us to wonder and look forward to the date we have in 3 days. Danish girls, in general, are so afraid that you have forgotten the date, that they usually call it off on the day or they stay at home, because they fear that you won’t show up. Funny thing is, when I have set a date with a danish girl, and I don’t contact her until we meet, and she shows up, they always say that they were insecure, but it made them so happy to see that I was there. Deep down they love the anticipation, but it is difficult when they are so fucking insecure. I wish they’d be more secure, so we’d be able to make dating a lot more fun here.
