Earlier in our marriage we lived in a company apartment building. I can remember coming home one evening and my wife was upset. Note: my wife is Japanese from Japan. She was close to tears saying that the next door neighbor's wife had asked her, "When are you going to have a baby?" It actually took 5 years before we had our son, and she was undergoing hormone treatments. She said she absolutely hated when members of the extended family or friends would ask her when are you going to get married as well. There isn't much privacy in Japan, and I can empathize with her irritation regarding these sorts of questions. I don't think they are appropriate in any circumstance.

From the strict country of Saudi Arabia, And other Middle Eastern Countries to South East Asia's like Malaysia , Pakistan. I find Kazakhstan is kind of Western. Because your state is not an Islam state government unlike these countries that I mentioned. As you've said don't judge but not all people have that open or wide understanding. Because of that many Kazakh people use the irreligious Turkic word "Armysyng" or "Armysyz (formal way)" as "Hello" today, appearing to many young people who choose to be atheists or Tengrist.
@siratshi4553 жыл бұрын
@@jacobsmith8272 no we don't, armysyz(which itself means totally different thing) and this kind of phrases remind me of some TV program beginning. Usual folk uses normal Arabic versions. Also besides sälem(hi) and rahmet(thanks), there's "salamatsiz ba" - more formal way of saying hi, and if I remember right something similar existed in Malay? Also there are qayirli tañ, kün, kesh, tün meaning good (time of the day). P.S. just for foreigners who might wonder about comment above there are literally no Tengrists in Kazakhstan, and those who really claim they are aren't perceived seriously by anyone. Atheists are also not so numerous especially among youth, after fall of USSR and hence of all religious restrictions, Islam takes it way back with every year.

Horse and cart images are alll from gypsy a village from Romania.
