nah i gave up on their signs. I try to find the middle lane or good shoulder., even if its a mile away from the dealership, its better to be save than pulling into a narrow road.

Yes I’ve done regional pretty much my entire career. It might not always be the same region but it’s never where I’m gonna have to stay out for weeks at a time.

I try to find humor amongst the bullshit that's the only thing that's been keeping me going..but in all seriousness I've been watching you for for awhile i love your content I started at united because of you it was great when I first started however now I'm really concerned about my future here I'm working Harder and making less it really sucks I've been trying to give them chance but I'm really beginning to feel like a waste management worker at this point. Between them cutting the old equipment bonus and this 7 day suspension shit along with the "central Dispatch" the company has went from sugar to shit overnight at this point I'm really just trying to figure out how to navigate through this. I'm not a quiter but my mind has been telling me to hit the door.

@Jamidas3 oh I feel you on that. I gave it 6 months I hated it from the beginning of when it all started. Sadly my yard was the trial yard and things really went to shit quick. Luckily I didn’t take a huge pay cut in the beginning because I had 2 ppl at my yard that were going to bat for all of us but damn it just got to where there was nothing they could do. I’ll be honest I was pulling with bonuses around 2800-3200 most weeks working 5 days a week. But by the end I was doing 1700-2300 most weeks working 6 days a week so I bounced. I’m sure if you came over because of me you could tell I loved it there I bragged all the time about how great they were. But they’re trying to make fed ex drivers out of car haulers and I can’t see how that’s gonna work. Sadly I’ve had more 1 drop loads here in my 8-9 weeks I’ve been here then I did in my 4+ years there. I don’t mean to reach on them because they could go back to being great but damn it seems like they’re almost intentionally trying to ruin what they had. In my opinion anyways. How long have you been there?

For us they have we seem to be swamped right now

Normally cars stay pretty consistent but I can see running cars during the busy times and something else when that’s paying better

My definition of regional is anything within a 500- 600 mile radius. Now I can drive 1400 miles out and 1400 miles back, 2800 miles for the week. I consider that to be OTR because it’s a long load, but I can be home 🏡 for the weekend

Hey bro it’s a good way to get your feet wet but united road won’t be around much longer if they don’t get rid or fix this new dispatch. They have lost over 700 drivers since January. Down to 500 drivers now with people quitting everyday.

You can make good money doing local depending on where you live but Ik a lot of places local cars and local gas tanker are gonna pay pretty close to the same

Not that Ik of I think the highest they go is Ohio on that side

Oh 100% I do. Even now when things are slower and it’s a bit harder to get loads your still gonna make more hauling cars then most other ends of trucking

@@CarcarrierTv I haul fuel tankers for a living out of Chicago but this last 2 yrs it has been slow and I have run into a few car haulers that also say is good money and better living so im looking into but most companies won’t hire me without any car hauling experience which makes no sense to me if I drive a bomb for a living

@rubenb28 yea car hauling is normally one of the best paying plus pretty good home time. I’m home every weekend and can normally pull mid 2s-mid 3s most weeks. But getting into car hauling is the hardest part. Your gonna need to either know someone at a mom and pop or just always be applying at the big companies to get trained. Once you have some experience in car hauling you can normally go anywhere you want. The doors open at pretty much every car hauling company at that point. The problem is to train a car hauler the company is normally gonna spend $25k-$75k on your training do to loss of income during that time plus if you damage anything you can start adding 10k-100k to that number pretty quick.

Try Carvana Home daily No money but will give you experience while paying your bills. They train but they crooked/monkey business.

They were an amazing company and I really have nothing bad to say about them. But they changed the way they dispatched work and I was taking a major pay cut because of it. So yes I had to leave

@DuraStop they have been great to me and I love the family atmosphere here. Yes they’re always hiring as long as you live in the area they run out of.
