I substitute teach. Let me tell you what goes on with your darling children. They are disrespectful, foul-mouthed, horrid little humans. They have been taught that anything that they say or do is permissible. There is not enough money available to get me to teach full time. Teaching has always been a lower paying job; it was acceptable because of the benefits. There is no benefit now to being hit, bit, spit on, and disrespected. If you want teachers, then you need to bring respect back to the classroom.

Students have more power than the teachers. Any poor performance by the bratty kids is the teacher's fault yet many such students do not like to do assignments often or put in any effort to excel. Students expect A grade regardless of their effort. Pathetic!

Parents please read to your children the day that they are born. Spend time with them, asked them to do chores, do not allow them to break rules without consequences, set a bed time, eat at the table, expect teens to work a few hours for luxury items (help wanted signs every where), spend the same amount of time spent on your social media platforms in their online work and academic progress, you have access to their assignments and grades online, go to the school sometimes, limit your social time, tv time to attending to your children.....game changer.

As a teacher, I am tired of the bratty kids who have neglectful parents, the principals that do nothing about the bad behaviors but blame the teacher, and the endless and useless paperwork that nobody even looks at. I finally got a decent raise, but now, today, my union just informed us that the board of education may go back on that promise on our contract. But if WE were to negate that contract we would lose our jobs and teaching licenses! I am barely hanging onto this shi**y job. I have been saying this since the pandemic. Thought it would get better, afterward. It got worse!

The kind of people who complain about jobs going overseas, but, would complain when goods are expensive (and would buy Made in China stuff instead). Emotionally disturbed children are allowed to run the classrooms and the teachers are expected to tolerate it! Teachers are overworked and teacher shortages dump a larger workload onto them and amplifies the problem! No support with discipline problems! Teachers required to document problems in an effort to deter them from complaining! Pay raises below inflation levels which makes them poorer by the year, meanwhile increasing health insurance premiums to the point they are unaffordable! Principals hiring their buddies as “specialists” to sit around and eat donuts and figure out ways to add to the teacher’s work load rather than providing actual support to the overburdened teacher!

There isn’t a teacher shortage, there is a lack of RESPECT for educators. Teachers have been accused of hurting kids because they teach history, then people attack them during COVID and refuse to wear masks which threatens their health, they are physically assaulted at work, asked to take up arms and defend students, under paid, forced to work long hours that they are not compensated for, etc. Who would want to do this job. I don’t blame them one bit. Let everyone asking them to carry guns, force them to teach propaganda, and spend their own money on supplies teach their own kids!

I left teaching in 2019 and one of the major reasons was because of the emotional toll the job took on me. My students were awesome and to be honest, 98% of the parents were great, but I was teaching AP classes for $19,000 a year. I didn't have my own classroom, I had to pack the cart I drug around the school all day with snacks, and there was pressure to make sure everyone was getting good grades. We were also required to stay after school to run extra curricular activities. I always arrived two hours early so I could avoid taking so much work home. One day the principal told me I needed to make sure I was in the building until 4:30, even though I was at work by 6:00 each day. He told me it was like stealing from the school if I left ten minutes early. I loved the actual teaching and interacting with the kids and parents, but those aspects are a small component of the job.

We are looking at 500,000 vacancies by 2026 because of the economic structure of teaching. The average teachers last only 15 years and it takes 30 years to get their golden pension. Over 77% of teachers never receive a pension and 40% do not receive social security. The next 25 years of salaries are expected to decline and inflation guarantees a loss of real dollars and an increasing poverty rate for teachers. Students may have to bring cans of food for teachers to have a meal and prevent teacher starvation.

It's the hiring system and all the requirements. It's too strict and rigid. Getting a teaching job today is like trying to join the secret service, especially for new teachers without experience, and especially for teachers of color without experience. Teachers of color aren't given an inch! I applied for a teaching job in multiple counties. I have an active teacher's license and Master's degree in Education. But because I couldn't get three letters of recommendation from principal sponsors, I was turned away by human resources departments who told me that they couldn't add me to their pool of applicants. This is why you have no teachers. If I'm a new teacher, then where would I get three references from principals? I am brand new to the profession. I don't know any principals! What an idiotic requirement. A lot of school systems and counties need to completely overhaul their requirements for hiring teachers, especially educators new to the industry and particularly educators of color. Educators of color, particularly black educators, are treated in a very peculiar way by schools. Black teacher candidates are actually passed over and rejected at teacher job fairs while principals will literally fight against each other in front of everybody to hire white female applicants. White female applicants are frequently hired and issued contracts right there on the spot! I have seen this happen again and again at teacher job fairs. Principals don't even try to hide their preferences, because they identify with those applicants the most. It's obnoxious. It is also unfair to see white applicants leave teacher job fairs with contracts in hand, while Black, Asian, and Latino applicants leave wondering what did they do wrong and why didn't anyone pick them to have a nice classroom. Even at teacher job fairs that specifically target educators of color, white females will show up anyway and on purpose to make a point. I have see this too. Then, they get chosen first by white administrators, each and every time, especially for the most desirable schools in affluent districts where everyone is trying to teach. You wouldn't know any of this, unless you became an educator, but there is a an ongoing war happening between teachers in education. We are all clawing at each other for the same types of schools that are flooded with applications every school year. And they aren't in urban or underfunded districts!

These videos have documented this new/old federal financial paradigm called quantitative easing (QE) with this process of electronically generating we the people's monies providing virtually, no pun intended, unlimited federal funding for our educational system without one cent of federal tax revenue being involved. Take a look so you will already be up to speed when President Trump is back in office because he will most definitely adhere to the tenets of Equity Spending (ES) versus Modern Monetary Theory (MMT), while presiding over QE spending and if you doubt me, ask him or any number of other top echelon federal officials when it comes to the subject of QE, both elected and appointed.
