Quality info. I learned an early lesson by buying a Crux suppressor which went out of business about 4-6 mos after I got the stamp…. Fortunately I have 2 mount for it but big whoop… I’ve gone with GA Recce 5 & 7 since.. waiting on 2 YHM k cans to use with GA Plan A.

I'm just getting into suppressors. I was told the LAHAR-30L runs a 1.38x24 Hub Mounting System. The Wilson Combat Suppressor Ready Muzzle Break only shows External Thread description as 24mm x 1.5 pitch. Is Wilson Combat being proprietary so all I can use is their suppressor? This would kinda suck cause I'm getting discouraged with their 300 HAM'R Hunter.

Thanks doing this video. I am fairly new to the suppressor game. I am looking to buy a 30 cal. can, and was seriously thinking of getting a rugged with the special silencer shop is running this month. With your comment about their qd system has me second guessing myself. Thoughts on a Nomad-L or any other can you may think would be better?

AAC sells an adapter called the S.T.A.M.P. That adapts 51T-1.375X24.

Waited for months for the Dead Air dirext thread mount for nomad ti. Still out of stock. But thankfully it's compatible with the HUB and ordered the griffin direct thread mount. Only concern is to see if the can stays tight on the 18 inch 5.56.

Try a few wraps (2-3) of Teflon tape on your barrel then snug ut on there hard. I bet it will stay no problem. I've been doing this for years. It's an old tip OG's used to do when DT was the only option

@@PracticallySquared1 thank you bro for that. I am going to do that. And the next logical progression is switching everything to Xeno. I think it's my best option. The direct thread was really for my 18 inch "precision" AR but if they come out with a titanium xeno flash hider it'll be a no Brainer

Just so I can understand, do I have to form 4 the can separately from the qd mount? Thanks
@PracticallySquared1
@PracticallySquared1 11 ай бұрын
Your can needs a form 4, but you could buy a million different mounts without that.

Do you use any grease on the HUB threads? I cleaned my nomad’s threads with acetone and have a bunch of aeroshell 33. I am switching from direct thread to the xeno adapter and don’t know if leaving it dry is a bad thing
@PracticallySquared1
@PracticallySquared1 Жыл бұрын
That's personal preference. I'm a pipefitter by trade and leaving threads bare goes against all I've been taught. I personally put a dab of some high temp anti seize on mine.

@@PracticallySquared1 Do you do the same on muzzle devices that you don't rocksett? I had a hard time keeping the direct thread adapter from backing off during fast strings of fire which motivated me to try xeno
@PracticallySquared1
@PracticallySquared1 Жыл бұрын
@@RomiAlmeda I use the antisieze on everything. I've never used rockset for a muzzle device, I always torque it down to spec. As far as the DT adapter coming loose, it's almost always because it wasn't tightened enough. With spanners it's hard to gauge how much torque your putting in there but I go "ham" when I torque one into a can. I've never had one I properly snugged come loose.

@@RomiAlmeda no problem! You'll love xeno. I had a few videos on it but youtube deemed them against their standards. I've been running xeno since it came out. It's my favorite for sure. Way less likelihood of something coming loose and the muzzle devices are cool

7:40 Future proof with HUB mount... 💯 I want to buy a Rugged, CGS, Huxwrx, or Surefire but do not want to commit to their proprietary QD mounts for a semi-auto gun. Direct thread preferred on bolt action. So they just cut out customers going proprietary IMHO.
