"the longest time of my life and I havent been alive that long" broooo 1 minute in and after watching for over a year I still see the fire in your eye that made me subscribe. As I clicked on this video i was thinking "Damn, 1 Year later. I cant wait for the 5 years later" video. Keep up the hard work, dude! We all see the passion and drive you have for us (making videos) and consumers (great shipping and product quality).

Purchased plants always die. You have to steal them for the plant for them to thrive. That's a tale told to me by my mentor. Drunken plant thievery is epic.

That's what I've always been told and I have never been able to grow syngonium because it always dies. Why? Everyone can grow syngonium. Because I purchased it. Does anyone have a plant? Invite me for dinner please?

44:46 CPDs I breed stop scattering eggs above 24C. Usually they give me a lot of eggs when it is winter time here in Europe. I keep them in an unheated aquariums and during the winter temperature stays in range 19-22C and at this temperature they breed like crazy. Cheers Nick

I have a suggestion for saving your CPD's predating on eggs. Cut course filter sponge to fit snugly in the base. Place the spawning mop on top. When the CPD's start to eat the eggs, some will escape and fall into the sponge, where they can't reach them. Move the sponge into a tank after a few days, and replace another sponge in the container. See if you get success that way.
@AstralApophis
@AstralApophis 6 ай бұрын
Latch hook template for craft store zip tied down to egg crate lighting diffuser on the whole bottom of the tank. This acts as a net small enough to keep the CPDs from predation, but the latch hook squares are large enough for CPD eggs. Worked like a charm for me, just my lack of time killed it for me. Couldn’t keep up with them

This video was a great Sunday afternoon watch! I had guppies when I was 10 yrs old - (50 years ago - yikes!). My daughter has an aquarium now that my grandbabies enjoy. Trying to answer her questions a couple of weeks ago, led me to your channel. Your enthusiasm for this hobby is infectious! ... so much so, I just bought a tank to populate with some guppies for myself :) There are so many amazing colors out there now compared to 50 years ago! You also have an awesome personality and conversational style that is perfect for these videos. I will enjoy checking out out a few more! Keep up the great work, and cheers from Oregon, USA!

Awesome tour! we have to get Harlan a coffee cup so he doesn't have to use mine, I drink about 50 cups a day and still always put the coffee and water in first before the milk, Thanks for mentioning my Botanicals your fish have been doing really well since you've been using them to, some of those tanks are looking really good, when we run out of coffee we'll have to try the brine shrimp 🤣

Hey Nick congrats on your first year 🎉🎉🎉 if you want a solution for the wire rusting out on your BBS hatchery's then just use bonsai wire it's aluminum and doesn't rust. It was my only upgrade I made to your video on making a BBS hatchery. Thanks heaps for all the knowledge you have shared.

I've got 7 of the Ziss BBS hatcheries (one for each day of the week). Use a towel rack or make something to hang them up on the wall. It makes harvesting the BBS soooo much easier. I found it aggrivating to get my big hands under the stand to turn on the spout when it was sitting on a tabletop.

I have been in the hobby for over 45 yrs now and live in Seville, Spain so probably too far to buy fish from you but if I could…..I would definitely go for some of the rare ones. I also use houseplants in all my tanks and they create such a nice atmosphere in the fish room.

Love the vids. Always fun to watch. Thinking on your problems with your CPDs: could you do a mesh bottom / false floor container so the eggs fall through out of reach of the adults? And those christmas guppies that are eating their fry... could you do a breeder box? Or some kind of mesh cage inside the tank with the adults inside it? (Kind of like a reverse shark viewing cage 😂)
