Guardian sport’s Gregg Bakowski faces a few rounds of body sparring with Carl Froch at his hometown gym, the Phoenix Boxing Gym in Nottingham. Gregg tests his limited boxing craft on the former world champion, trying to land a body blow on the former super-middleweight while taking a barrage of blows.

When you have a chin like Frochs you don't need defence. Super Middle never been the same since he retired, loved watching Froch fights and was lucky to see 3 of them live. True warrior.

This was fun, Froch comes across authoritative and passionate when it comes to coaching. Not saying he should be a coach, he makes good money in media, but I'm sure he'd make a respected and inspiring mentor to young fighters

Light hearted exchange, yet I can't help feeling Carl just can't help himself to get a bit competitive and go in for the kill. ... ? I guess you have to have that Ego to do what he's done. From a purely coaching and technical perspective though, I feel that body sparring should be about creating angles, and quick in and out and resetting of the footwork, and importantly defence... etc. with hands UP! ..., typical froch not once told him to get his hands up to his chin even though they were body sparring. No point just aimlessly whacking gloves, arms, shoulder is there......, He did well the little scouse fellow didn't he. Although a tad more charm and a cheeky wink wouldn't have gone a miss......,I could tell froch was thinking 'Who's this little misery in front of me' ... ha.

As of now, I'm going with Golovkin and Hagler. We'll see if GGG beats Canelo in the rematch. Dude took many clean shots and *combos* from heavy hitters like Stevens, Lemieux, Brook, Jacobs, and Canelo and just shook them off like it was nothing. And most of those guys he fought when he was (is) past his prime.

How was Brook far too light? Kell Brook weighed *11 pounds* more than Golovkin for that fight at the 30 day weigh in, *5 pounds* more at the 7 day weigh in, and *0.5 pounds* more at the official weigh in...
