Bourton-on-the-water is a popular destination in the Cotswold region and one of the most beautiful places to visit in England. With its quaint village green and the Windrush river running through the middle of the village, it is known as the Venice of England. Bourton should definitely be on your list of things to do in the Cotswolds. In this video, we take a walk around to show you what it is like to visit the village.
Bourton is a friendly family destination with many shops and restaurants. Popular with day trippers and the tour bus crowd, it is a pleasant and pretty town to visit.
As I show in the video, the best time to visit Bourton is after 4pm when the tour buses depart for the day and the pedestrian traffic dies down.
