This game blew me away. The fact that I can do other stuff with my guitar rather than play the tab my guitar teacher gives me. The Guitarcade is genius, the song selection is very diverse, and most importantly, it picks up notes really well. I didn't expect much from this game, but it's hell of a lot more satisfying learning the guitar rather than getting a killstreak in Call of Duty.

What you said is VERY true. I started the guitar with Rocksmith, absolutely NO experience before that, 2 monts later I was doing much better than I expected. This "game" is just truly amazing.

Wow. It looks the the entire Rocksmith team busted their asses off to ensure that this game is miles ahead of its predecessor. The new improvements and additions are unbelievable. I simply can't wait to get rockin' come this October.

Anyone considering buying this "game" do it. I don't think of this as a game. Ive had this for two months and the level of improvement is unreal. I would never have played guitar looking at a book or dvd for 4 hours a day. Its really one of the best things Ive ever bought. Everyone at rocksmith thanks so much!

I have been watching videos of rocksmith for the ps3 and I have to say 99% of are awesome, I can't wait to get one case I a dean bass guitar for a long time haven't lessons on it because of money issues and since I wanted lessons so bad I looked up rocksmith and I was hooked.

the cable is included in the set, although You may buy game without cable if You've got one form first edition. effects and amps are in game and they are automatically loaded for the song, and if You manage to gain enough points, it's unlocked for free play. other thing You can unlock are hidden songs.

The latency even between your guitar and speakers is such a huge factor, I can't imagine how this game could ever work over the internet. This isn't button mashing, where a hundred milliseconds can be dealt with, this is live music.

I really can't say enough about this game this game has really improved my muscle memory so much. I really don't like it a game, I look at it as a learning took. I highly recommend this product

It should have a guitar tabulator mode too in addition to highway mode. fast licks with lots of notes are impossible to see in highway mode.

in previous music games there was a utility to install the songs from other version to harddrive. Since the format is slightly different you would have to download the Rocksmith 1 songs after proving you own the game

It does look better than the first one! Though I would like to hear about them adding more dropped tuning songs, lower than drop d anyway. I play/write in drop c mostly.

Thats all you need MrCaptainInternet, and of course a console or pc to run the game, you just plug the 3.5 jack of the cable to the guitar or bass, and the usb of the cable to the console, and voila ready to play, its just great and super addictive, i enjoy so much this game, and the new 2014 edition seems even better, i love it

Rocksmith 2014 looks amazing! I hope there is a setting to turn notes on so I can learn the fretboard and not just see colored bars.

Me too, for the record, the GTA games never liked to me. With the first Rocksmith I lost my fear to take a guitar and play; maybe I'm not a good guitar player, but is a great step forward.

you are likely using HDMI for your sound, when i switched my sound to the audio cables, like it says every time you start the game, and in the manual, there was no latency. it was a huge difference, too, I had at least 1 second lag or more when using HDMI (you can still use it for video, just use the red/white cables for sound)

This is a great game but dont buy unless you have a surround sound system or else the lag will be so bad it's almost unplayable.

Probably the minigames. Like the first one had zombies that you shoot when you get a chord right.

When I want good arcade style fun thats easy to pick up and rock out with I play rockband. When I want to improve my actual guitar skill and play songs I wouldnt otherwise want to learn I play rocksmith, great game.

Multiplayer on songs could be done, just not live. It would have to be played solo on both sides then recombined for post play. like what you already see after playing a song in rs.

I see this software is compatible with the PC, so I take it it comes with a cable to plug your guitar in to your pc !!! what about all the effects are they included in the software the same as pod farm and other modelling amps? or do you use peddles to crate your tone ???

you can always just get the PC version like me. There's tons of custom songs and im pretty sure they would have almost everything you want

hopefully it registers power chords properly in this one, there are some songs i damn near pop the strings from how hard i have to strum to get the fucking notes to register and as a small, little detail of a want, i hope there are more varieties of guitar,damn near all the guitars in 1 were the same bodies of Les Pauls, Super400's and Flying V's GAAAAAAAAAAAH I CANT WAIT FOR IT!!

Oh just one bit of advice, to avoid a little lag, don't connect the audio of console or pc to the TV, connect to a sound system, i for example have the PS3 video output thru hdmi cable to the tv, and audio thru digital audio to my sound system, if you connect directly to tv you might notice a bit of lag, but nothing major.

I don't know, but maybe a free DLC pack for RS1 owners would be available for download. To avoid people who don't own the previous game to download that pack for free it could be offer as an update of the current Game. This is only a hypothesis their could be more ways to do it though.

I've never owned a copy of Rocksmith 1 and I just recently bought Rocksmith 2014. My question is, are the DLCs from Rocksmith 1 available for purchase and download for the 2014 edition or will I have to purchase a copy of Rocksmith 1?
