What's New In My 2021 Tesla Model 3 And First Impressions

After collecting my 2021 Tesla Model 3 Long Range just under a week ago, I've already covered a few hundred miles and first impressions so far are good...although it's definitely not perfect! There are some significant changes between the 2021 car and the previous generation and this did influence my decision for choosing the Model 3 over any other EV at this moment in time.

What are your thoughts on the Teslas build quality etc and is it a significant downgrade coming from a c43 and do you mind it?

Nice video thanks. Been watching 992 vids which is where I came across yours from a year ago - the familiar roads caught my eye too. I have a 5 month old 992 C2S Cabrio but it’s not the everyday car I expected, so now thinking about an EV too. Model 3 looks good and like all the tech it comes with. I used to live close to HB so recognise all those roads!...seems to have as many potholes as where I live now down south and my 992 is awful on bad surfaces. How’s the ride in the Model 3?

It’s good...but not great! But yes, all these potholed roles around here doesn’t help the matter!

Hiya, is each wheel independently driven, 4 wheel drive? - I'm asking because I'm curious how it behaves in the snow/ice/slippery conditions - does it have electric/electronic limited slip technology independently for each wheel? I can imagine with so much torque from the moment the wheels turn that they would want to spin as soon as you breathed on the "go" pedal.

The electronic limited slip works really well in the AWD Teslas. I test drove a Model 3 Performance, on wet roads, and giving it "full beans", it did not spin the wheels. It just WENT! Wickedly fast as it can do 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds. Quite a rush! It would certainly "blow the doors off" my Porsche 993. I just got my Model 3 LR AWD (non-Performance) on Boxing Day and am loving it so far.

The only changes that I don’t like in the updated Model 3 are the wheels. They somehow managed to make all three sized wheels worse than than the old ones
