I must say. I have been novice fishing for quite some time. Watch your channel and I did not know there are so many rods for different lure, baits. I only have 1 baitcaster. 7'1 St Croix bass X. And 2 cheap spinning rods. Great video and the knowledge you provided for us👍

Madbull is hands down the perfect chatterbait/spinner bait rod. Surprised they didn’t mention that. Also you can punch just fine with the tequila baccarac which is super strange. Great rod

Do you find the P5 X-Bites more sensitive than the Dark Sleeper? What about Wind Buster vs Land Sat sensitivity? I have both the DS and Landsat and I feel like not up to par against my Daiwa AGS, USA Destroyers and NRX rods.

I just received a brand new Daiwa Zillion 21 SV TW G reel ( ZLNSVG100H ) but without the cast control cap or the stem. Where can I order an authentic replacement cap and stem for it or any that is compatible? I think the Daiwa part number is H28-1201 but I’m not 100% sure on that or what the stem it covers is. This Zillion 21 is a pretty well known reel so I figured you guys might have a good idea of what would work here. Thank you!

Ben, I’m really confused about the gearing on the new Zillion. In some official Daiwa videos, they state that the gear teeth are made bigger than normal for rigidity, smoothness and durability as part of their HyperDrive Design concept. In other promo video, they are saying the teeth are actually smaller for smaller for more contact points thus a lot smoother. Which is it and Why the conflicting information? Can you shed light on this?

So they've confused it with their videos. There are more teeth on the current gear vs previous gears, meaning they must be smaller if they can fit more on there. However, each tooth is designed in a larger way, more of a square to square vs pointed to pointed - if that makes sense, so it's better to just think of it as "different" and not bigger or smaller. The overall effect is smoother and stronger.

I'd like to have a BFS setup for jerkbait fishing- or really anything small that I'm afraid a bass might hit and run towards me. That's the only problem I have with spinning gear- too slow. I have a 6:1 but, it still seems slower than my 6:1 bait casters. I don't know if it's the size of the spool- cause you know they give us the ratio of the gears but they pay no attention to the spool size and how that plays in. I should've gotten a 300 size reel I bet- maybe it would've been a tad faster.

Line pick up is actually more important than Gear ratio when you're talking about smaller spools and reels. Not all gear ratios mean the same thing.

That Loomis BJR is a big swing and a miss for all the hype! Most bladed jig rods can at least handle the 1.25oz Jackhammers too!

The "JDM" and the "USA" versions are the same. In Japan they're called Black Label, but that name was copyrighted here in the USA, so they re-named it. Same rods though! They're great!

I have heard solid tip rods are less sensitive than tubular rods. Is the solid tip mainly for casting lighter baits? Also which p5 spinning rod do you like best for Ned rigs? Thanks, can't wait to see what is coming in, although you did get me for $75 today :)

Thank you for your business!!! Solid Tip rods can go both ways - sometimes they're more sensitive and sometimes less. It really depends on the rod. In P5, I would use the Windbuster for ned rigs, unless you're throwing really light weights, then I'd do baby plugging.

@@thehookuptackle_usa No, i didn't out, i watch the whole video, what i'm try to say is when you pull the brake rotor out, you can still pull the little bit more after the first initial pull, try it, if you go to the daiwa zillion page on the web they (daiwa) mention that the rotor can extend a little bit more, that why is call the sv boost, it refer as the second stage rotor extension

Dark sleeper rod is for moving baits, small swimbait, rugby head, dark sleeper fished like a swim bait, smaller spinnerbaits. Xbites is the best bottom contact / slack line sensitivity rod. 3/16 trig will work if thats the weight since it would be heavier with the plastic depending on total weight.
