The loop was gone a while ago!

Dudee, I never got to ride it. It was supposed to be a credit for me 3 years ago but it broke down when I was in line on my last trip to KBF.

I really hope they keep it honestly it was like of the better coasters at Knott's (even over silver bullet I got a bad ride on it)

Like other commentors mentioned the loop and launch system are gone. The trains are at a museum, so it's pretty much over. The owners of Cliff's amusement park in NM had one in storage for a long time but I heard that one is gone. Gene Staples has one for the Niagara Amusement Park but I don't know much more than that. If nothing else I'm sure Premier could do a custom Skyrocket 2, they did Speed the ride at Sahara which was basically a giant Monte without a back spike.

Knott's is my home park. Despite the "love" for this coaster, the lines were usually minimal. I think Knott's will replace it with something that brings in more attention.

Vakoma announced a new coster they are opening in Australia. It is the same description of different direction lunches so it can have 2 cars per track 4 cars at same time after 1 car each track passes the safety point.

No! This literally my favorite ride at the park! They shouldn't have touched it in the first place!

My thought is since they're doing a whole revamp on Camp Snoopy they'll finish that, then get back to Montezooma's.

With merge of cedar fair and six flags I think a lot of older rides will go and new ones will come in.

the second option "bittersweet one" is impossible because reportedly the company redoing the cut up the loop.

You know what would be a better tribute? SELL THE DAMN THING!!! Cedar Fair really screwed this one up. Id rather see it sold than scrapped (so would the rest of the coaster community).

The loop is gone sadly.

It won’t launch again some people say that the contractors at the start took the loop of but Knotts didn’t tell them to and the contractors broke the foundation.

I hope they work it out and salvage it.

🐉 If Monte is not coming back, can Knott's replace it with a Vekoma "Super" Boomerang "Cloud" Coaster. That would be a great replacement. It would fit the Monte footprint perfectly and would pay mad respect to the classic beast. This is a new "SUPER" Boomerang "CLOUD" Coaster, not the old Boomerang they once had. RIP Monte. 🐲

If this can't be saved, then I say use the space to build a Montazooma themed ride, with multiple levels. At the end of the ride, it can go to the bottom and have a new launch and new loop. A dark ride mixed wirh the original idea. Probably a reach, but wth? 😂

If Montezuma's Revenge is beyond repair, I think that the ride should be replaced with a similar ride, but more modern, including a modern reproduction of the iconic loop. Actually, why not make it a double this time? Maybe even like the Moonsault Scramble, if we're allowed to dream. As if to say "Montezuma is back, and this time, he's PISSED!" But since Schwarzkopf went bankrupt so long ago, what company could ever fill those shoes? Either way, I feel that this is a ride whose legacy deserved honor and dignity.

The loop is destroyed. I think you take a piece if the track and post it in that area as a monument to what was. This preserves that history. Then remove the entire coaster and replace it with a new coaster as a spiritual successor.

2 other ideas I have are: 1) tear out the ride and expand camp snoopy by building a show building with a Sierra Nevada mountain range facade that houses a dark ride. 2) tear it down, also tear down jaguar and replace both with a new mid level multi launch coaster to anchor the fiesta village land.

It's a little too late for the loop, they had cut it up and demolished it, for a while the flywheel and cut up loop was stored across the street in a parking lot, at least keep the train
