I'm going for the third time in August! I love Dollywood, definitely one of my favorite parks. I didn't get to ride everything the last time I was there, so I'm hoping to ride more when I go this time. Great video! 😄

I enjoyed the video. I am taking my family to Dollywood end of June 2024. You guys gave me some great ideas The rollercoasters are great , but what about the water park? (I understand it is a separate admission ticket) Last question- Was the steam train running? (I heard it was out for repairs in 2023)

There are two park tickets that will save you a little money. The train is back up and running. I hope you have a great time and the best park in the world. They have the awards to prove it!

probably open up in August of 2024 like they did August 1994. they need to add suspension on their transet like they did at the New York New York roller coaster. I'll check back about that ride when we get into August.

Hades 360 has the rare distinction of being the sole coaster to hurt me every time I rode that piece of garbage. There is nothing redeeming of Hades 360. Zero fun, lots of neck and back pain. It definitely runs on square wheels. Out of 250 coasters it doesn't even crack my top 150. Also, Boss is awesome. It's smoother than Hades, has more airtime, more laterals, and is just better.

Rising locker prices year after year for tiny lockers. Even with season pass, $20 adds up. Especially with Rampage closed all season..

Let me kook 🥶 The reason I think it's a huge gimmick is because for one, it's a lazy way to extend ride time. There is no creativity put into these swing launches, an actual layout like VelociCoaster would be really cool. The point of a launch is to get you up to speed, not to fail intentionally. Reason two, instead of Intamin fixing their reliability, they decided to go the lazy route and make it an element. (In my opinion at least.) I don't mind traditional shuttle coasters, but I get bothered by those who try to enforce it onto their attractions. Reason three, I think It will get repetitive pretty quickly just like inversions. Trends always die out at some point, and I think swing launches will start to get pretty annoying with how many coasters they might be getting in the future. Like Toutatis or Pantheon, and even more to come! Intamin hasn't been holding back on their gimmicks. I still enjoy the element though, as I try not to be a complainer.

Dollywood should NOT have contended with RMC's suggestion for a more expensive but better suited launch company because they've paid 5 times the amount they baulked at and have presented this ride as an unreliable destination coaster with dubious reliability. Had they went with the original suggestion... RMC is already THE CHEAPEST and most Walmart brand. If they suggest a costly launch system, as hungry as they are at cutting cost, DO IT

Been disappointed in this ride several times with it being down and it's just not that impressive.if they would have went with a hybrid like steel vengance or twisted timbers it would have been a far better ride.

It’s partially a hybrid IBox now, but if they went with the hybrid originally instead of the wood it may have made it more reliable.

It won’t ever reopen, I used to work there. And ever since 2010 they been losing money. And since they got rid of 3 rides in past few years, so nope. It won’t be unfortunately

Absolutely love this park, my absolute 2ND favorite park I have ever Ben too. I absolutely only ride front row. Road thunderhead 31 times in a row. Thought Steel Vengeance was fair at best. Wild Eagle was a disappointment for me. There was a 2 hour wait for Mystery Mine when I was there, waited inline, no problem and thought it was Good.. Really loved the chili at Dollywood. Absolutely not riding coasters more then 2 times in the park, park is absolutely dead. I checked the weather and the high was 60 ( amazing ) All ready booked my hotel, I will be there opening weekend 2025. Also Rocky Mountain Christmas for my 2ND year in a row on 12-26-24. Absolutely Loved Every Minute /// Absolutely Outstanding From Start To Finish

It's my family's good luck ride. We always ride it first to ensure it's going to be a good day. The few times we've not rode it first we've had some sort of crazy issue. I hope it stays forever but they could do some upgrades for sure.
