A lot of us stop talking risks because we get burned every time we do so, and then just the contemplation of taking a risk and the anxiety that goes with it far outweighs any potential benefits.

I quit my Canadian job at 56, sold/gave away all my "stuff" & started full time travel. On Oct 30, 2024, it will be my 10 year anniversary. I don't have a nanosecond of regret & these are a few things I have learned: - HOW much I value solitude - How much I love minimalism - How resourceful I am - How similar the human condition is in all corners of the world - How beautiful the world & its people are - How open my heart chakra has become. @@CumbiaDancer5678 You are a very lucky person, and incredibly brave for stepping up and doing something that a lot of us have only dreamed of! I remember a day when everything around me was painfully depressing. I wanted to fill my gas tank, get in my car and just drive until the engine died from fuel exhaustion. Some days I still feel like that, but not nearly as intensely as that one day.

At age 49 I gave up a very good high paying job, gave away my “things” (car, furniture, stuff), left my hometown where I had lived for 49 years and moved to Ireland to live and work in a homeless ministry. It was an awesome adventure for 2 1/2 years. That was in early 2002. Since then I have lived in Georgia, France, Texas, Alaska, Arizona, California, and Tennessee. I never looked back and have been pressing forward and having adventures ever since. Yes there has been ups and downs, good times, bad times, great times, disappointments, wonder-full surprises, and I have met so many interesting people; a few have become special friends who I remain in close contact with. Would I do it again? Abstively ❣️ Take the risks!!! You can always start over if need be. Outrageous blessings on you all ❣️❤️‍🔥😍

Biggest risk was back in 2011, driving cross country for a entry level job, paying $9.00 hr that I wasn't sure I got. And only having $180 in checking, no savings. And a beat up car lol Fast forward to 2024, now making 6 figures, what I envisioned happened and now on to the next dream I guess 😅

I take risk from time to time. My biggest risk is to pursue my music career passion. I declined a well paid job (sailor) I could’ve been a millionaire (in my country) by this time, yet I’ve chosen to follow my heart. Since then I’ve taken several jumps in nothingness and I’m growing. Wouldn’t say I’m where I wanted to be, I have some corners of myself I can smooth out. But yeah, following my passion is my biggest risk
