Freaking hell that guy with a tattoos could be a model. I would honestly consider finally getting instagram if he has one. Everyone in this video seemed very sweet and it was nice to hear slightly different perspectives on this kind of thing.

In my experience, dating in Korea/China/Japan is very different. There is far more talking in the beginning and it feels more friend-like and sweet and there are more traditional-type dates to interesting locations. Whereas back in the west, you get to know each other more casually, its a bit more passionate and much less organised.

In Korea mostly people don't get to know a person directly. They have a system called " 소개팅" . Means if someone wanna have a relationship, they ask their friends/co-workers if they know someone who is 괜찮는 사람 = a good person to introduce them. And then they meet together 3 or 4 people. This they mostly do when they wanna have a serious relationship which leads to marriage. But if they just looking for fun, they use apps, for a short time fun. That's why foreign girls In Korea have difficulties to find someone who is serious, as they don't have many korean friends who could do the 소개팅 introduction for them.

As someone learning Korean, I like finding Korean/English hybrid words and "소개팅“ reads and sounds a lot like "Circuiting". I don't think that's a coincidence lol. You're circuiting through your circle of influence to find a potential mate. Wish it was more of that here in the States.

Tattoo guy stating facts. In korea (and most of east asia), you enter relationship first then get to know each other (and yea break up if doesn't work out). Biggest difference between asian and american style dating (tho i know younger gens kinda changed it). Getting the gf/bf title first may seem very conservative but I feel thats how you show your serious and not playing around. but what do i know lol

there's translation error in 8:04. 'affection' is in korean '정', but actually that guy is saying '정의' which means 'define'. 8:04에 오역이 있습니다. '정의'가 define이 아니라 affection으로 번역되었네요. 아마 '정'이랑 오해한 듯. he is saying people defines their relationship before it gets deep, which makes them easy to feel pressure and responsibility.

First time in my entire life, I met my Korean girlfriend in Korea during my stay. It was by chance it happened and then she asked me what I'm doing later on. I responded that I'm not doing anything during the day. So, she asked me this, "Would you like to have dinner with me?" I was so shocked that a woman would ask me out for a date. It was a first in my life, then I answered her in two words. "Yes please!" At that moment, she was laughing that my rare answer was so cute. Later in the evening, I was excited to meet her and I brought some nice perfume set from Canada. She and I met up and went for dinner. We spent about almost 4 hours together. It was the most amazing time of my life. I started to feel loved. She and I held hands together walking together out from the restaurant and walked. We kept in touch for a long time and continued dating for many times. That was my ultimate experience and for the first time, I was really loved. Thanks for reading my message!!

If Korea has a special culture for couples, it must be celebrating anniversaries. This is only in Korea. There are many different anniversaries. I'm surprised no one has mentioned this. It's honestly annoying and inconvenient
@Unknown-un5pu
@Unknown-un5pu 10 ай бұрын
The reason why they didn't mention it is probably because Korea is also changing under the influence of Western culture these days. More and more people don't care much about anniversaries. Previously they had anniversaries like 100 days, 200 days, 300 days, Valentine's Day, White Day but nowadays young people are less strict and loose with it. Because as you said it's annoying and inconvenient.

Yes there are many young people doing pda in Korea these days. So people get used to it and don't really care. It's just that Koreans have the idea that they are stricter in Korea than in the West. And indeed it is. There will be old people who stare and you won't see people deep kissing in Korea for example.
@user-cnksi223
@user-cnksi223 10 ай бұрын
@@Unknown-un5pu Yes, deep kissing is a bit strange, but to be honest, people have been enjoying PDA for a long time. I heard that Korean Generation X (born in the 70s) also enjoyed pda. In my memory, when I was young, about 25 years ago, when I went to a park or playground, I saw a lot of people who expressed their deep affection.

I just watched one of your videos because of this comment and I think your videos have even better quality!! I think Jerry was lucky with some videos getting lots of views and from then on slowly growing in having a steady number of views each video. I don’t think you are doing too bad yourself tho either, I think you have pretty good amount of consistent views! As a viewer, maybe if you had the typical romance questions for interviews you have chances of getting more people interested since people who are interested in South American countries might want to know what dating is like or WOUKD they date a foreigner etc like ur grunge video in brazil. I think Brazil is also a little popular right now so if you live there or have the opportunity easy to you uploading some more videos on Brazilian daily life interviews or romance or videos on girls or stereotypes etc might be interesting to a potential viewer who doesn’t already know much about these topics but is interested in an inside view! Sorry for the comment this comes really randomly LOL but I just wanted to leave my thoughts after watching a video from you. I think you have great quality and format and that you’ll grow really well too!!

Just an ordinary Korean guy here. To answer your question, Koreans generally don't like African people. But don't get me wrong. I don't mean they're racist. I mean, they just don't have any special feelings for African people in general. It doesn't mean that Koreans "hate" African people, of course. I'm a Korean man, but that doesn't mean I can generalize the characteristics of all Korean men. Maybe some Korean men like African-American women. In general, however, Korean men tend to like the same Asian or white women.

@@user-kn7be8mv2p I understand that you are speaking from a cold point of view. but first of all she is not African. I'm sorry to say this but Koreans view black Americans and black Africans differently. They see the economic and cultural background through the nationality of the foreigners they meet. And while Koreans prefer Asians and whites they tend to be very friendly toward American blacks. And of course there are people who are married to African women.(They have YT channels) And Personally I think Africans and Koreans will get along well because there are some cultural similarities. But they will definitely prefer black people from developed countries like the US. Of course this isn't the case for everyone and there are exceptions. And Koreans also tend to not care about any nationality if they meet a foreigner who speaks Korean well. This is because if communicate well with each other in the language it has the effect of making you forget what nationality they are whether they are a foreigner or a Korean.

@@Unknown-un5pu I completely understand what you mean. Most Koreans are friendly to Americans, regardless of whether they are black or white. But sadly, some Koreans have racist tendencies, and they may dislike black people. However, it does not generalize the characteristics of Koreans. We must not forget that there are more good people in the world than evil people. And yes, Koreans generally prefer American blacks to African blacks. I can't deny that. And I didn't know that there were some cultural similarities between Koreans and Africans. I don't know much about the culture of other countries, actually. But if what you said was true, it could prove the relationship between South Korea and Africa. I'm not trying to be a racist, of course. But still, Koreans generally tend to prefer the same Asians(Especially the same Koreans or Japanese) or white people. Of course, it doesn't mean that Koreans hate black people.

Korea has a very unique dating culture and it’s very similar to how it is depicted in the K-dramas. That is only something you can understand if you were born and raised here. Of course it’s not right to be prejudice towards anyone but a lot of this comes from that long line of trauma inflicted from “white supremacy”, and seeing how worshipped white ppl are in eastern countries just triggers or annoys people.
