Just started going to a Gafcon linked Anglican Church from the Baptist denomination. Unfortunately, the Baptists readily accept anything that's marketed as necessary for social equality and equal opportunism but fail to understand God has order in his creation and certain areas of function are a part of that. I think you're right, that they have failed to address what they seem to believe to be the lesser sin and left it undone. I hope to read your book soon.

Hello Nick, I'm new to the channel and find your videos extremely thought provoking. Re the clip from GAFCON at the end of the video, is it the display of seemingly non-biblical African custom that you feel is misplaced at a religious conference? I guess if its an attempt by the hosts to showcase something heritage based rather than Christian it would be out of place. Lastly, I've just started to attend RCIA classes, largely as a result of a feeling that the Church of England has flexed beyond breaking point to keep up with current trends. Could you foresee a situation where you could move towards Roman Catholicism?

Hi there, thanks for your time listening along and for your question. I believe with all my heart that if the Church (in this case, GAFCON) were genuinely following the leading of the Holy Spirit into sobered/historic/national repentance, “set pieces” such as extended cultural dancing would be regarded as wholly inappropriate…especially joyous/celebratory set pieces that seem to me all the more inappropriate given the grave context. We got our Apostolic Succession from Gregory the Great, and we have the AV Bible, the Prayer Book 1662/1928, and the 39 Articles, so we don't have to worry what Welby or Francis are saying or doing.

Probably the closest you have come to a 'friendly fire' video. I suspect that there is damage. Important and helpful though to highlight the Lord's intention regarding gender.

Oh thank you Nick. I agree with your ministry and also with that of Foley Beach who preaches repentance and whom I found to be an easy person to approach despite his global responsibilities (and my lack of office). As a whole I see GAFCON and Global South as taking your position (they live by the word). They took courage from the worship (part of which you showed) together with the fellowship of like-minded believers in an increasingly hostile and unbelieving world. I have not seen your correspondence with Foley but was expecting a more encouraging word from the Lord to people fighting many battles. I am praying that the body of Christ globally will ask where we are not thinking as our Lord thinks. Shalom

@@jeremydouglas4879 Thanks for clarifying but I’m still not quite following what you’re referring to as “damage” - do you mean that my call to a higher standard is somehow damaging? I’m sorry but I disagree with your assessment of the GAFCON position regarding which Foley was very evasive in my comms with him - namely that their/his call to repentance is actually mute because of the unwillingness for everything (including endemic egalitarianism) to be immediately and unreservedly “on the table”. In my opinion, anything less than this (and certainly when there is avoidance in response to this being lovingly pointed out) is not conducive to the postural change required within the Church. This attitude of “we’re working on it” is (as the video says), hypocritical.
