What really is the best tool for driving a larger Lag bolt. We have the Hercules impact driver versus the ultra torque impact wrench and the hammer drill/driver what tool do you prefer to use and were you surprised by the results?

Yeah thats a big job for a drill. I mean the drill i gonna be way faster if it is able to do the job, but if it requires to much torque youre gonna need an impact wrench
@bleyz3557
@bleyz3557 5 ай бұрын
The reason why impact driver is faster and better for the job than a drill and impact wrench is because impact driver is meant for that kind of job, moreover everything comes down to the speed, even tho it is large bolt you don't need high torque type of power for that job, you need sufficient power and SPEED, thats where RPM and IPM of an impact driver comes into play. And that Hercules impact driver is no joke what so ever, top tier when it comes to power. It is like when a drill is able to drive something it is going to be the fastest, but when it can't it isn't

@@lancemill5683 he shakes from Parkinson's disease if i remember correctly. He knows he's facing major problems and i believe as a result he's gotten meaner over time. I saw a post of his on his electricians friends channel where he told some guy he was a panty wearing woman simply for disagreeing with him. I have no time for that kind of BS. Heated arguments are one thing but treating subs like that just because they have a particular fondness of Flex brand tools is not. My mother had MS and got really mean in the final stages of the disease. I do not miss her and i do not remember her fondly because of the way she CHOSE to act towards everyone....

What soAlz fails to realize is it isnt always about speed of the drive but instead torque. And when you explain this to him he cries and gives a 🤓🍑 remark

i still use lags for work occassionally . i have results that reflect yours also .i find this is just to hard on the drill and me to use on lags . an anti kick back feature would help but still not the tool for the job . impact drivers break adapters ,though i like the speed they offer . could you try a bigger right angle drill .i would like to see your results . before impact drivers came on the market this was my go-to for big construction screws .

I prefer the impact driver for any philips screws, Torx screws and small hex screws (like up to 3/8" x 4") The impact wrench for anything bigger And the drill for pilot holes and small hex screws (don't really like to use philips screw on those because they cam quite easily).

Okay let's start by saying every tool has its own purpose, impact wrench large bolts nuts and occasionally the lag bolts but how often do you see a high torque impact wrench on a construction site? In over 30 years never!! This is why we have a drill to drill an impact driver to be compact and drive! And a high torque wrench to straight bust nuts. This a drill is all I need be is just that BS!! IN THAT CASE EVERYONE WOULD JUST BE WALKING AROUND WITH A DRILL LIKE ITS THE 90'S AGAIN. I remember when the cordless impact driver came out they were weak and so were the drills!! They were all brushed and if you needed power you grabbed a corded drill 😂 I think some of these older guys are just stuck in the past 😂 still listening 🎧 to the same rock and roll Eric the bearded fool guy is doing test that have no purpose but pure intertainment like everything was made to drive these same ole lags in stumps. And tools with trolls thinks RIGID is a gift to mankind and Makita lxt xgt are somehow gay lemme tell him Ridgid is for cheap bastards who can't afford Milwaukee. Not to say Ridgid doesn't have good tools but every tool company has good tools and they have straight ass tools!!! Seriously I'm in every platform except default because I felt played after owning a impact wrench and the board going out and I received a bill so I sold everything, dewalt and took a huge loss!! This shit is going to start adding up!! Watch what I'm telling you. To have the newest tools Everytime something drops is just not sustainable. Just keep doing what you're doing and you should get monetized humor bro works for you, it just takes time. And if anyone gets offended IDGAF 😂

My dad always handed me a ratched to put a lag into a pilot hole. Never have I ever needed to drive one this large though. I’m sure people need to but not me. I am however putting in 1/2” x 10 tapcons to anchor guardrail bollards and product wracking daily. Using the Hilti rotory hammer and Milwaukee 2767.

At construction sites. There was mobile air compressors. At least that's the way we did it before. A lot of the battery stuff was any good and there was always air powered half inch impact guns along with air nail guns. Problem solved 👍🏼🎯
