I live about 40 minutes from North Wilkesboro speedway, I grew up in the 80’s and 90’s going to the track with my dad. My dad would pick me up from school early so we could go to qualifying. Racing is a bond we share to this day, thank you Dale Jr for all you have done for North Wilkesboro!!

Good to hear you speak on Rockingham. You were a rookie and I was looking for a new driver after Ernie got hurt again and was pulling for the 3 even though my brother said I couldn't cuz that was his man and this car went flying by and up to the top of the practice board and I turned to my big brother and said that's my new driver. I skipped like 7th grade Friday all day to just watch practice and qualifying and that was my favorite time doing it the first time I saw Jr on the track.

Absolutely grateful to have North Wilkesboro back. Every race was great. The Cup Cars are hot garbage at every track they go to.

Not sure if anyone said this but they messed up the racing by removing the inside curbing. Now cars have at least a foot extra inside in corners 2&4. This alows the inside line to get on the throttle sooner than with curbing. Back then the curbing alowed the outside car to get in the throttle before the inside car giving the outside lane a better chance.

just because larson whooped everyone doesn't necessarily mean the race was a dud. not every short track race is going to be dale sr and terry labonte at bristol. that was never really how NWS raced anyway.

Well for us racers that run iracing and we run Wilkesboro Nashville fairgrounds and Rockingham we want to see all three tracks back to give us different shaped tracks. Hell take off sonoma and Watkins glenn add Nashville and Rockingham

All the complaints are NOT north Wilkesboro issues. It's the next Gen car. The same issues will happen at Richmond, Martinsville, bristol

The charter system is crap. Put 43 cars on the track and if you don't qualify, you aren't racing that weekend. We now have basically 36 provisionals.

Wilkesboro and Rockingham would always have a place with xfinity and trucks at a minimum.

I guess I'm a weirdo....but I didn't think North Wilkesboro was a bad race. There was plenty of racing. Was it hard for the drivers...yes. That's part of the drama. Somehow, Kyle Larson found a way to pass cars....lots of cars. That means those other drivers and teams have an opportunity to separate themselves from the field as well the next time they get a shot at it. Maybe next time they won't pull over and let him pass just because he's faster. Either they need to get faster or make him slower! There are 3-4 tracks I'd give up in a heartbeat to keep North Wilkesboro.

Racing makes me no money, so just because i want to be a race car driver ill quit my job that pays my bills. 😂 The Crowd in the south east compared to the rest of the country should be everything a business needs to know. But it is the 2020s so what we want trumps reality lol

There was some good racing at north Wilkesboro with the late models the trucks but the cup cars need some work to make short track racing better

North Wilkesboro should be made the new annual July 4th Weekend race. Make it 500 laps instead of 400. Start in the daylight and finish in under the moonlight.

North wilkesboro was a really good race. The downfall is on the teams individually. A few teams did way better than the rest of them. Almost like no one prepared for the chance at a million dollars.

nascar does not appeal to the country at large anymore. all they have left is their core fan. they need to strike while the iron is hot because the core fan will not forgive them again.

That was a classic short track race just like the 80s and 90s and like every late model race every Saturday night. That was pure racing. Tire wear was good, horsepower was not a problem when you can’t even reach full throttle, aero was not a problem. Lots of passing throughout the field. Best driver drove through the field and dominated. If you don’t like that, you don’t like short track racing. Not to mention Richmond this year was one of the best short track races ever.

I hate the NASCAR qualifying format. Racing is merit based. "What have you done lately"... There shouldn't be safety nets in NASCAR like that. I can go to my local dirt track watching racers on a SHOE STRING BUDGET fighting like Dale Sr. did to keep their damn lights on and they can get sent home... God forbid Rick Hendrick or Joe Gibbs miss a race... I'm sure they won't even notice a dent in their bank accounts...

It is not the track. It is the next gen car. The Cars race was great so was the trucks. You seen wheel marks on all those. I seen none on next gen cars

All Star race was terrible because of the car and tire, not the track. We already know how bad the Next Gen is, but the tire just magnified the issues. These were the lap times from the final 90 lap run: Start: 20.9 Lap 30: 21.9 Lap 70: 21.9 Lap 90: 22.0 Literally almost zero falloff after lap 25-30 and only slightly more than 1 second falloff over the whole run. And it wasn't just Larson. Bubba ran a 22.0 on lap 87, Elliott, Reddick, Briscoe, etc all 22.1s. Hell, even the lap cars were 22.2-3s after 80 laps.

Bring Rockingham back! Fast track! I can appreciate the infrastructure and hotel concerns, but NASCAR even though we want growth, needs these rivalries in my opinion.

If NASCAR wants to be as good as it was in it's hay day it needs to come back to the fan in the south east and get rid of that new car, it is ruining the racing. It took a great race track and made the racing mediocre at best and it definitely wasn't the tracks fault.

Dale idc what anyone says. Yes the last race was a clunker (one caution could've changed that) but everything else, the other races, the atmosphere was amazing this last week it wouldn't have happened if not for you. So thank you and I hope and pray this race goes on. I'm so tired of them adding boring ass road course and insane street race. Nascar is oval racing.. period.

The race was good. Larson passed the field so there was plenty of passing. Maybe just a longer race to include a green flag pit stop. I think whatever is done, Nascar will never be as popular as it once was. Times have changed, society has changed, people more interested in staring at their phones while their electric car drives them to work. Sports like MLB and NASCAR are just going to dwindle unfortunately. I thought the race was great, like old times.

I’ve got 3 boys ages 20-10. The only sport I watch in my house is racing, NASCAR, F1, supercross/MX, motoGP, some Indycar and some NHRA. In all these years, races nearly every weekend, not one of them has ever watched one lap of anything with me. Zero interest. I’ve taken them to races and there was some interest and enjoyment. We dirt bike ride as a family, have classic cars we wrench on, but they just don’t watch TV. If they are going to look at a screen it’s a video game. And they don’t play racing video games either. Many of my friends sons are the same way. None of them watch any TV, ever.

Nascar drivers need to stand up and say it loud and clear, we are not racists, we are not zealot evangelical fanatics, we do not support our actual fan base that goes to the tracks and makes our sport looks terrible to the eyes of the World.
